Xichen woke up feeling better, he sat down slowly and stretched his body, he saw Lan Zhan sleeping sitting on the edge of his bed "Wangji" he called out to Lan Zhan softly
Lan Zhan opened his eyes slowly "Xiongzhang, how are you feeling?" He asked worriedly
Xichen smiled "it's better, but I feel sticky, I'm going to take a shower. You go and clean yourself up, you look messy"
Lan Zhan nodded
Xichen came out of his room with a fresh face and neat clothes, he took a slow breath of the morning air, then Lan Zhan and Weiying came over to him
"Xionzhang"
"Huan gege" Weiying greeted with a smile on his face
He saw Lan Zhan's worried face "What's wrong?" Xichen asked
"Something happened in the village, Weiying and I will go down the mountain to check it out"
"If you wanna go, you can go"
Lan Zhan looked at his brother with a worried look "but Xiongzhang..." he said doubtfully
"Why are you still hesitating?" Xichen asked confused
"I don't want to leave you"
Xichen smiled "Wangji, I'm feeling better. You two can go down the mountain and check out the village" Xichen said
"Are you sure?" Lan Zhan asked
"Of course, sect leader Jiang is still here after all, he can also help if anything happens to Cloud ressece. You two don't have to worry. I'll be fine" Xichen tried to reassure them, putting on his best smile.
Lan Zhan nodded "Then, Wangji and Weiying will take our leave"
"Be careful on the road"
"Xiongzhang too" Lan Zhan then left with Weiying
Just as Xichen was about to leave, Jiang Cheng came rushing over to him “Xichen” Jiang Cheng called
"Sect leader Jiang, what's wrong?" Xichen asked
"Something happened at Yunmeng Jiang, I have to go back soon" Jiang Cheng said
"What is it?" Xichen asked worriedly
"There's a small raid, I have to go and check" Jiang Cheng replied
"Then you must leave immediately."
"But...." Jiang Cheng hesitated
"But what?" Xichen asked
"I can't leave you"
Xichen sighed "you, Wangji, Weiying always worry about me, I'm fine, you guys can go"
"Are you sure? I haven't calmed down since I heard that damn Xiao words"
Xichen smiled "I can take care of myself" Xichen assured
"How can I believe you, you can't even lift your sword-" Jiang Cheng widened his eyes when he realized what he almost said "I'm still can't calm"
“Sect leader Jiang, I am not a child, I can take care of myself” Xichen tried to calm him down
Jiang Cheng gritted his teeth, "Give me your hand" before Xichen could answer, Jiang Cheng had already pulled his hand, suddenly Zidian turned into a snake and spread to Xichen's hand and neatly pinned on his wrist.
Xichen widened his eyes "sect leader Jiang, what are you doing? Why did you give me zidian?" Xichen asked in shock
"It will protect you"
"Sect leader, this is your family's weapon, I can't accept it" Xichen gently refused
"No. I won't be able to calmly leave you here alone without protection"
"But the sect leader-"
"Come on, don't be stubborn" Jiang Cheng cut in "at least a part of me is protecting you" Jiang Cheng then ran "I'll be back here as soon as possible" he shouted
"Eh sect leader!" Xichen called out but Jiang Cheng had already left. Xichen then looked at the zidian that was now firmly glued to his hand, he then chuckled and shook his head
