"The Beast is really very sweet." said Beau.

His mother was overjoyed to see him... unlike his brothers.

When they heard he had to return in two weeks, they hatched a secret plan.
"If we make him stay longer, the Beast will be angry. With any luck, she might even eat him," said Mario, with a sly smile.
"With little Beau gone, we'll have Mother and her fortune all to ourselves," added Silverio.

So the brothers started being very sweet and loving to Beau.
"I love you, Beau!" said Silverio.
"More cake?" added Mario.

Beau was surprised at the change in them. "They must have really missed me," he thought.

The two weeks flew by, but Beau kept thinking of the Beast. Was she lonely without him?
When the time came for him to return, his brothers burst into noisy sobs.
"We can't live without you!" they howled. "If you loved us, you'd stay!" said Silverio, clutching Beau's hands.

Reluctantly, Beau stayed... until one night, he dreamed he saw the Beast lying in her garden, under a rose bush.
Beau woke with a start.
"Something's wrong," he realized. "I must got to her."
