All life comes to an end
Ascending to an unknown bend
All is lost and no one's your friend
As I lay dying.

Burning and bruised, I lay on the ground
Buried in mud and rain and sound
Breaking and bending all the way round
Before I finally, mercifully, snap in two.

Calls and shouts pleasantly fall quiet
Cruelty and hatred stopped silent
Crude and crass and everything violent
Can I say they missed me?

Don't be a child, a naive little fool
Dreaming of a crystalline pool
Disappearing is your only fuel
Death is your only friend.

Effervescent pleasantries are wasted on you
Everyone will forget your view
Ever the waste of space, you drew
Even your dreams were negative hues.

As I lay dying, nothing flashes in life
As it was filled with nothing but strife
As hate, betrayal, and a blood soaked knife
Asked politely to break me.
