Jimmy didn't expect Scott to take that insult so hard. I mean it was a joke though, they always insulted each other back in forth but when Scott stormed out of the House of Blossom meeting he knows me may have went a step too far.
"Jimmy?" Lizzie asked
"I'm going to go work this out with Scott"
Ignoring the shouts of protests from behind him as he walks out the way Scott had just run only moments before.
Scott is surprisingly a very easy person to track, he leaves feathers behind him, so Jimmy follows the trail to the dock where Scott is sat, his feet in the water, he has a flower in his hand and is playing with the petals.
"I don't want to talk about it Gem" Scott says not looking behind him
"Not gem."
"What do you want?" There's a bitterness to his words
What did Jimmy want? Why did he come out here?
"Um...I- I wanted to apologize, I know your parents are a sore subject and I crossed a line"
"It's fine Jimmy don't worry" Scott's eyes now brimming with tears at the mention of his parents...it was...a sore subject to say the least
"Would you like to talk about it" Jimmy asked wanting to comfort the elf
"Yeah"
Jimmy proceeded to sit next to him and also dip his feet into the water.
"What were they like" Jimmy asked...Scott's never actually talked about his parents so Jimmy being Jimmy, he was very curious.
Scott hesitanted for a moment deciding whether to actually tell the cod about his parents or not.
"They were...my mother was amazing, she could make you smile even on your worst day and no one could make better cookies than her" Scott chuckled at the last part
"She sounds like an amazing mother" Jimmy said now looking at the elf in the moonlight.
"Yeah she was...my father was however...the complete opposite, he was very tough on me, him and I were never close, he had a kingdom to run, no time for his son"
Scott let his head rest on the cod father's shoulder, he felt very comfortable with him, and he wasn't sure why. They sat like that for a while, Jimmy playing with his hair and them cracking jokes and laughing, it felt...right
"THERE YOU TWO ARE!"
They turned around to see Gem walking towards them,staff in hand
"Oh, am- am I interupting something?" Gem asked seeing how close Scott and Jimmy were sitting together.
"Nothing at all, we were just making out- I mean making up, Jimmy came to apologize" Scotts face now as red as a tomato
Jimmy burst out laughing at Scott's slip up
Good now if you both are so kindly done with your making out- I mean making up, we would like to continue with the meeting" Gem said chuckling and winking at Scott
They slowly walked up to the path and back towards the meeting where the other rulers waited for them...
Scott and Jimmy didn't pay attention to the rest of the meeting, only smiling and staring at the other
Gem smiling and shaking her head as she watched those two idiots for the rest of the meeting
