3rd Person Pov:
Both Scott and Jimmy woke up with in shock when they heard someone's voice...both of them panicking, Scott somehow managed to accidentally roll of the bed and Jimmy quite literally hid under the covers of the blanket...
"So is someone gonna explain when you started dating?" Lizzie said a bit annoyed
"It's not what it looks like" Scott said in a panic...I mean of course he was panicking this could end very badly...you know how people gossip
"Oh really" Lizzie sounded abit amused and honestly she was, she was happy her brother found love but kinda annoyed he didn't tell her...but she always knew they would end up together, scott and him had that hate to love chemistry
"Look I just came over to drop over some flowers for Jimmy since he wasn't feel well and it was late and he asked me to stay and I did" Scott said in a rushed tone...his mind was going from o to 100 really quickly, planning all the ways this could go wrong
"Ah well that's kinda disappointing honestly" Lizzie said
"I- it is?" Jimmy said, he had been quite for the whole time only now peaking from underneath the bed covers
"I mean yeah, it would make sense for both of you to date would it not? I mean you guys would make a great couple, it would strengthen alliances and create new bonds between kingdoms oh and your babies would be so pretty, I mean Scott's hair and your eyes Jimmy, a heartbreaker through and through" Lizzie said, she wasn't sure whether they would buy it, she was aware playing match maker was a dangerous game but this is Lizzie when does she ever do things the easy way.
"I- I mean she has a point ji- Jimmy" Scott said hesitantly, he was nervous and excited at the idea, he always had a crush on Jimmy but he wasn't sure how Jimmy would even react.
"I guess, but what would the others think and how would we even tell them?" Jimmy was trying to sound confident but honestly he was a nervous wreck, he always had a crush on Scott but he was always thought the elf never liked him back.
"Well firstly I think they would react positively and secondly it would explain the insults and the fighting, it was your way of flirting and as for telling them you Katherine is hosting a ball next week, you could make it official there..." Lizzie was crossing her fingers that they would say yes, she needed some entertainment and she's read enough books to know they will end up together... classic enemies to lovers cliche
"You guys could even have a trial run before the ball to see how you really feel about the other" Lizzie said
"A trial run" both Scott and Jimmy said both equally confused
"God your both hopeless, basically a trial run like take each other on dates and get to know each other, see of there is chemistry there cause you know once you make it official, you'll have a million and one questions asked about your relationship" Lizzie said in a sassy tone, clearly annoyed at how the two are so clueless
"I mean that doesn't sound like a bad idea, and she is right, it would be beneficial for both our kingdoms" Scott said
"Okay, let's do it" Jimmy remarked cheerfully
"Wha- really" Scott hoped he didn't sound to desperate but this was like a dream come true...almost
"Yeah, Lizzie's right it would be beneficial and getting to know you better would be nice" Jimmy let out a chuckle after saying the last part
"So we're dating?" Scott felt like a teenage girl while saying that
"Courting, dating same difference, but essentially yes, and I guess, we have some dates to go on before Katherine's ball next week" Jimmy said with a grin
"I have the prefect idea for our first date" Scott was hoping he didn't sound to eager
"I can't wait" Jimmy said and then placed a kiss on Scott's forehead
Scott nearly melted into a puddle, he was sure he was blushing like an idiot
"Well I can't wait to see how this turns out, I'll leave you two love birds alone" Lizzie said while walking out of Jimmy's room.
