Running through the long hallway tanjiro stop dead in his tracks, a wall was in front of him but he could smell Kokushibou and gyomei through the wall with his enhanced demon abilities

Taking a breath in tanjiro used moon breathing to create an opening

"Moon breathing, first form: dark moon, evening palace!"

Then slashing at the wall small crescents destroyed the wall creating a large hole, running inside tanjiro could see gyomei barely being able to hold up against Kokushibou or known as upper moon 1

Kokushibou was slowly overpowering the hashira who was getting tired from fighting from night to near morning this entire time and plus Kokushibou's being the second most powerful demon with his breathing technique and demon slayer mark

Tanjiro saw Kokushibou about to attack gyomei again but immediately used his demon blood art to create a fire wall in front of gyomei, Kokushibou stared in surprise as tanjiro jumped in front of him disabling the fire

"Tanjiro?"

Gyomei said in utter shock but he kneeled down from hours of fighting and getting some small injuries, he could recognized the presence from anywhere but was surprised to sense it became more powerful

Kokushibou was in disbelief as he thought dead nephew and last family member was dead (ok I would like to make clear this, in my story tanjiro is a descendant of yorrichi I said in the first chapter) by the hands of the hashira and begrudgingly accepted it but now his entire world been flipped upside down

"Tanjiro? ........"

Kokushibou said in shock his voice trembling a bit as tanjiro whispered for Nakime to take gyomei away, gyomei then disappeared as Kokushibou gripped his sword tightly

"Tanjiro what are you doing?"
"Uncle please understand this is for the greater good"
"Greater good? Greater good?! Tanjiro these are the same people who murdered you!"
"I know but I deserve it, my entire life I thought I was doing good but instead I found out my true heritage and everything else....."

Tanjiro turned his head towards Kokushibou who's eyes widen to see tears rolling down his cheeks, thus brought back a unpleasant memory causing him to froze up

"Why? Why did you guys lie to me? Saying the demon slayers are evil and that my father murder my real parents? That am a descendant of yorrichi? W-was it all a lie.....?"
"T-Tanjiro please...."

Kokushibou pleaded before stepping forward sheathing his sword, tanjiro stepped back as he puts his hands up

"Stop! D-don't come any closer!"
"Tanjiro please hear me out! We didn't mean to cause you this much pain! Please come he-"
"No more lies! How could you cut down your own brother and work for muzan?! How could you guys make me kill those innocent people?! How?! HOW?!"
"Tanjiro don't be a fool! Those people aren't people! Please just come back with us!"
"Uncle......"

Kokushibou stopped as tanjiro reached into his bag and pulled out the antidote and tossing it to Kokushibou who caught it

"If you do really care for me then take this..."
"Tanjiro what is this?"
"It's a antidote, it turns demon back into humans."

Kokushibou was shock, centuries of failed attempts to make a cure for demons was thought impossible but yet his nephew figured it out in only few years. This really proves how talented tanjiro was just like his brother

Kokushibou stared at the syringe, his loyalty and love for his family were fighting against each other. Sadly but predictable his loyalty and thirst for power overcame his love as he dropped the syringe and crushed it underneath his feet
