Kurt;
The summer breeze crept through the open windows. The smell of food roamed out of the kitchen, that's when I knew Dave was up to something.
"Whatcha doing?" I walked into the kitchen, where he was cleaning up.
"There's a surprise in the oven, no peeking! " He smiled.
"Now I'm really curious!" I said, sounding like a child.
Dave grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. We stared into each others eyes for a minute.. but then he leaned in and kissed me. I wrapped small strands of his hair around my finger, trying my best not to cut off any circulation. He pulled away for a minute to catch his breath, and then the kitchen timer set off.
"Go sit at the table and I'll bring your surprise out" he pointed to the kitchen table. I sat at the kitchen table and waited as the mouthwatering smell got closer, and there was a dish of Lasagna (couldn't think of anything else) in front of me.
We ate together, it was a quiet dinner, but a happy one.
Sorry it was a shortish chapter.. I ran out of ideas and there is another little family emergency. But I promise I'll update when I can. <3 Lydzzcool
