"Come on cupcake, it'll be fun! I promise!" Carmilla said trying to sway me to go ice skating. I had never been and she wants to take me for my first time.

"I swear to god Carm if I bust my ass you'll owe me." I said in my most threatening voice. Even though my sentence was empty of threat. If I did bust my ass Id just make her watch Dr. Who with me or something that she'll dread.

"Is that a yes?" She asked, the giddiness was evident in her voice. I replied with a nod of the head and a roll of my eyes. She dragged me to Briggs Park where the ice rink was set up and by God it was Giant.

"What size shoe are tou, I'll go get the skates."

"7 or 8, either will work." I said with a shrug. She nodded her head and went to go get us both a pair of skates.

When she came back I already had my shoes off. Carmilla then took off her shoes and we both put on our skates.

"Alright now you can lean on me for support, k creampuff?" Carmilla asked as we got on the ice. My knees were wobbling and everyone else who was skating around us just looked like they were showing off. But I nodded my head in response and Carmilla took off on the ice dragging me behind her. She went slower than everyone else for my sake but k had the balance of a deer on ice. You know what? That's what I look like right now, a deer on ice.

"I don't like this, I don't like this, oh I really don't like this." I half shouted as she picked up speed dragging me in circles and zigzags along the ice. By now she was just laughing which is just plain mean. After a few more minutes I got the hang of it and I skated by myself without holding Carmilla's hand. When I thought I got the hang of it...i fell.

"I'm now totally over ice skating." I said as Carmilla swooped over and picked me up.

"You weren't too bad until you busted your ass." Carmilla replied with a sly smirk and light chuckle.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me nkw you owe me." I said with a smug grin of my own. Carmilla just looked at me questioningly, she must've forgot what I said before we stepped on the ice.

"I owe you, for what cupcake?"

"I said earlier and I quote 'if I bust my ass you owe me' and I busted my ass, hence...you Carm, owe me." She just rolled her eyes as she untied her skates and then mine. We slipped back on our shows and walked through Briggs park for a while longer.

"So what do you aant to do now cutie?" Carmilla asked as she bumped against my shoukders, I then bumped her back while thinking.

"I'm kinda hungry, there's a good pizza place near here..."

"Sounds great." Carmilla said giving me a warm smile that could've made me forget it's December and flurrying in New York City.

When we got to the small pizza parlor there was small line. After a few minutes Carmilla and I finally got our chance to order.

"What would you like today Laura?" Frank asked. I come in a few times a week to get pizza and we both have developed a little friendship. He's a tall man with black hair and a strong New York accent.

"Two slices of pepperoni pizza please." I answered as I pulls out a five dollar bill and handed it to the Frank and he deposited in the drawer and gave me a quarter and a dime back. He then went into the kitchen and fetched the slices of pizza. Frank handed Carmilla a slice and then me one.

"Thanks Frank." I said with a smile.

"No problem Laura."

Carmilla and I then sat down at one of the tables in the small shop. "So you and pizza man are on a first name basis." Carmilla said teasing me.
