Chapter 13: Touch

~To The Story~

"Nice phone charm. It's so manly." Nakamura had a teasing grin on her as soon as she spotted the cute strawberry charm dangling on Karma's phone while the two walked about the long slope that leads to the old campus.

Karma tried to play it cool from the tease. However, he could not stop the blush from rising on his cheeks. Phone charms weren't really his style. He always found it way too girly for someone like him and or an unnecessary accessory for the device. However, how could he refuse when the gift was from you? It was adorable.

What made it even more adorable was when he realized the charm was a strawberry. A favourite fruit of his. He just couldn't help but appreciate the fact that you noticed the little details about him. It made his heart flutter.

"It was a gift from (y/n)-san." Karma cooly replied, tucking his phone away.

"I know. I was there when (y/n)-chan bought it. Is she trying to give you a sign?" Nakamura did a knowing smile.

"She also gave one to Nagisa-kun for your information."

Nakamura dropped her shoulders from Karma's debate. She knew full well that the charm you gave him meant something entirely different than the charm you gave Nagisa. You asked her yourself if Karma would like this charm when you were at the mall with her and the other girls.

"(Y/n)-chan doesn't like Nagisa that way."

"I never said she did." He threw her a lazy smile.

"No, but I can tell that's what you're thinking."

"Why don't you use that new power of yours to find out about Asano-kun's darkest secret instead of using it on me, k?" Karma smiled innocently, trying to hide his annoyance from the girl.

Nakamura huffed out some air. It was to be expected that Karma won't open up his feelings. She just wants him to outright admit that he caught feelings for you. She has never heard him say it even once despite it being obvious. If he was gonna keep this up, he might miss his chance to confess to you.

"You're going out tonight?" You signed, putting on a quizzical look on your face in front of your parents.

"Yes." Your mother bobbed her head. "We'll be out and we won't come back till late at night. And while we're out, why don't you invite some friends over?"

Your eyes lit up from that. No parents for the night and now you can friends over? You couldn't help but feel excited. It pays off to be trusted by your parents.

"No boys though." Your father quickly added.

Your shoulders fell at what your father said since you had planned on inviting Karma. A bit of the excitement you felt a second ago has fallen off.

"But what about Nagisa-kun!?" Your mother squeaked to your father. Your parents love Nagisa. He was your first-ever friend and had stuck by for a long time. "We can trust him!" before she let your dad have room to argue, she turned to you to continue to sign. "Hun, invite whoever you want, but please keep it to a minimum."

You smiled and nodded your head. It's not like you're planning on throwing a party or anything like that.

"I will." You signed at them.

As soon as your parents left, you began to text Nagisa about your plans.
