Andy's POV
"Vic what are you doing here?" I asked as I stared at the two figures at the door.
"Hold on-" Robert said realizing something
"Babe, they're together, they're gonna get married." He said holding my waist
"Oh my god, oh my god, come in come in!" I said excitedly
Sitting at the dining table
"Let's organize the food first then both of you have a lot of explaining to do." I said getting up
Luke and Vic chuckled
"I'll help you love." Robert said touching my lower back
In the kitchen
"I can't believe it." I said getting plates from the cupboard
"Me too." He laughed
"What's funny babe?"
"I just remembered when Luke and I were younger he used to say he's never getting married and now ironically he's marrying one of my wife's bestfriends." He said laughing while taking the containers of food out of the bag
I laughed
"Vic said she could never see herself getting married and now she's marrying my husband's best friend." I said smiling
"Haha yes, come on, you ready?" He asked gathering stuff in his hands
"Yes let's go." I said
Sitting at the dining table
Luke's POV
"Okay so yes, Vic and I are together. We have been together for a few months..."
"What?!" Robert asked looking hurt
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you Sully..."
"Man, I told you about Andy... wow."
"Sully..."
"Nah man, it's all good, go ahead." He said sarcastically
He leaned back on his chair staring at his food. I saw Andy take his hand under the table realizing how hurt he was. I couldn't say anything again.
"Look we are just like you both, we love each other so much and you guys are our bestfriends and we can't get married without you guys and our little ring baby." Vic said
Andy smiled before glancing at Robert who looked like he was in another zone.
*wahhhhhh wahhhhhhhhh wahhhhhh*
"I'll get him!" Robert shouted before anyone could say anything.
"Look Robert doesn't have a lot of friends okay, Luke you are his bestfriend. Sometimes no most of the times he calls you before he calls me when he needs advice or needs to talk about something. You were the first person he told about me, he couldn't wait to tell you. He just hurt that such a big thing in your life is happening and he had no say or no idea about it." Andy said
"Yeah I understand..." I said softly
"He seemed so happy before..." Vic said
"Yeah that's before he knew we are together months..." I replied softly
Andy's POV
"Andy babe, J is hungry." Robert said walking down the stairs with a fussy baby in his arms
"Okay give me him." I said walking up to my husband
"Stay here, I am going to feed him... talk please." I said softly looking Robert in his eyes
"But-"
"No but, your bestfriend is happy, just be happy with him. You can be hurt with me later okay."
"Okay." He said in defeat
"Thank you." I said tip toeing to kiss him on his cheek
15 mins later
I walked down the stairs with Ollie in my arms to hear my husband and his bestfriend laughing together. I smiled as I noticed the way Vic is looking at Luke, I never thought I would see Vic settling down but as she told me a while ago, she thought the same about me.
"There's the star of the night." Luke said walking up to me.
"Look J, it's Uncle Luke." I said propping him up on my chest and waving his little hand
"Hey little man..." he said tickling James on his belly a little.
James giggled as Luke continued playing with him.
"Take him, my arms are killing me. Everyday this kid is getting heavier and heavier." I said handing J to Luke.
I walked over to the table and sat next to Vic.
"We could do double dates now..." I said smiling
"Yesssss but we have to be careful in public... there's a restaurant Luke and I go too outside of town, it's really nice..."
"Sounds good."
"Do you think we should tell the team?" She asked playing with her napkin
"In Robert and I's case it wasn't really a big problem till he became captain but as for Ripley... he has a good relationship with the team but I know how you feel. You don't want people talking behind your back, you don't want them feel you are being treated differently... I know. And if I'm being honest... I sometimes feel out of place with the team but I know the love I have for my husband and he's the one that make me happy so I've learnt not to bother. The little secrecy was fun but it started taking a toll on Robert... I can't tell you whether or not to tell them because that's a choice between you and Luke..."
"Yeah I just can't deal with people doubting and second guessing me you know." She replied
"Yeah I know."
