In the car
Robert's POV
Since we stepped foot outside our front door Andy has not let go of my hand. She is frantically looking over her back and hugging herself. I want to punch the hell out of the person who told Ryan where we lived but I also need to put my anger aside and focus on keeping my family safe.
"I'm taking J in with us okay." I said softly glancing over to her caressing her skin. She just nodded not questioning why. She pulled my arm gently more into her, hugging it like her life depended on it... and it really did...
"Andy are you okay to work today?" I asked softly
"Only work can distract me right now, so I'm going to work." She said looking into a different zone. I didn't say anything because I was busy thinking as her Battalion Chief if I am doing the right thing
At the station
"Line up in the beanery now!" I yelled walking into the beanery. After a few minutes the team, including Andy gathered in a line with her at the end.
"Good morning 19." I said. "Good morning sir." was scattered around the barn.
"Has anyone of you given out the address to where I live to anyone recently?" I asked with my hands on hips. The team started looking at each other confused
"I have." Dixon said softly
"Why did you?" I asked feeling the rage inside me starting to build
"He said he was Herrera's brother..."
"Herrera doesn't have a brother." I said coldly. His face turned pale and he began sweating like crazy.
"I know you all know who Ryan is, this morning he visited our home and threatened to take back Herrera and my son with him also. As your Chief I am asking that you don't give the whereabouts of Herrera, James and myself to anyone. As Andy's husband please be careful out there and if you notice any suspicious activity please report to me, no matter how small it it. Thank you." I said before walking out...
Andy's POV
With Robert walking away everyone questions were shot at me...
"What is he doing back here?" Maya asked
"I don't know." I replied
"Are you okay?" Ben asked
"I don't know."
"Is he actually serious?" Jack asked
"I don't know."
"Look I don't have any answers okay, I don't. Can we just work please?!" I said raising my voice. Everyone was caught off guard and just responded "Yes Captain" before walking off.
After a while we got no calls and I finished my paper work so I decided to go check my boys. I knocked on his door and I heard him say "come in." in his Chief voice.
"Hi husband..." I said smiling and frowning at the same time. He looked at me and smiled but I could feel he was stressed out and I can't blame him.
"Hey wifey."
"I'm missing you." I said trying to smile
"How can't you not miss me?" He joked trying to make me laugh
"I really don't know." I laughed. He then pushed back his chair and opened his arms for me to sit on his lap.
"Where J?" I asked forgetting we brought him in today while I adjusted myself on him
"He's actually taking a nap." He smiled
"I'm sorry I acted like that this morning, I was just in a state of shock and I didn't know how to handle it." I said laying my head on his shoulder
"It's okay love, I just want to help that's all." He replied playing with my hair
"You always help." I smiled before raising up to kiss him
"Mama." I heard a cute voice behind me. Robert dropped his head in disappointment as I got up from his lap to pick up James.
"Hi J." I said kissing him on his cheek
"Come let's go get on of daddy's smoothies." I said. Robert smiled and nodded. Before closing Robert's door I turned around and took J's little hand and waved it up and down...
"Love you dada." I said
"Dada" James repeated
"Love you guys." He replied laughing
