Robert's POV
I can't believe my baby boy is one year old already. It feels like yesterday when Andy's water broke in the beanery and our parenthood journey began...
"I can't believe he's one..." Andy said laying her head on my shoulder as we look at him playing and inspecting his new toys
"Neither can I..."
"He looks like you right now, with his serious face..." she laughed
"He actually does." I chuckled looking at him closely
"Is there anything we need to do for the party later?" I asked
"No everything is organized, the decorators are coming in a while, they are also bring the food and Vic got one of her friends to do the photography."
"Okay great, but you do realize it's only a bunch of adults at this children party right?" I chuckled
"Hey, I'm a kid, I am going to enjoy all the attractions..." she hit back
"Am I an attraction?" I said bitting her earlobe
"Your son is right there!" She whispered yelled slapping my leg while I burst out laughing
"My dad asked if he can bring Reggie..." she said with a disgusted face after a few minutes
I burst out laughing again
"What is so funny Robert?" She questioned in a stern loving way
"Nothing love..." I lied
She propped herself up so she can face me. She looked at me with her mom eyes
"Your face was very cute babe." I chuckled. She rolled her eye jokingly and I placed her head back on my shoulder
"What did you say?" I chuckled
"I couldn't not say no..." she said annoyed. I didn't answer, I just pulled her closer and slid my hand under her shirt and caressed her bare back.
4 hours later
Andy's POV
"Thank you all for coming to celebrate James' birthday, we are grateful for everyone of you here today. Not many of you guys know but before James, Robert and I experienced 3 miscarriages together and it was mainly caused by my line of work. I had to learn to prioritize what I truly wanted and that was a family, a family with the love of life. I kept myself strong, Robert kept himself strong and together we were strong. All aside, we cannot imagine our lives without our baby boy. He is our pride and joy, our number one priority and our little man..." I said starting to tear up. Robert embraced me while he holding James in his other arm
"Each and everyone of you have played a role in either James' life or my wife and I's life and we will forever be grateful. So thank you everyone for being here. Enjoy the party." He smiled. I looked up to him with tears in my eyes but smiling
"Thank you." I said
"Not a problem baby." He replied before James leaned himself over to kiss me
"Mama." He said before smothering his wet lips on my cheek. I felt Robert laugh before he joined in on the action, kissing me on my cheek and my lips before kissing J's cheek and forehead
