"Wait so she died?"

"Wait so she died?"

"Weren't you listening Kageyama! Of course she did." Hinata said to the taller.

Showing a bittersweet smile Ennoshita nodded. "We may not have dated long but to me it was my entire life. I doubt I could love someone else the same way."

"But how did you get over it?" Yamaguchi asked curious to how the second year looked so normal? Is that how he could describe it.

"Acceptance, it took me a couple of months. But I knew she wouldn't want me to be sad." He shrugged as he thought of what she may do if he was sad. Maybe hit his head or even tickle him till he gave in.

He still loved her dearly, some nights he would sleep in her room just to feel okay. To anyone else it may have sounded creepy, but he didn't care.

Her smile was etched into his mind, every laugh was recorded in his memory. He refused to forget her or let go of her. And to him that was okay.

He went through all of the stages of grief; his friends can play witness to that. If it wasn't for her love for his sport, he may have quit. But he knows that at every game she'll be watching.

So he'll kiss his hand every game, win or lose. Why? Because its the last thing she held. A story that began when they were kids has finally come to a standstill. Their story will remain unwritten until the gods themself finish writing it in the skies. Using stars as ink.

"Will you ever truly get over her?"

"No, and I don't want to. A love that pure only happens once in a lifetime."

Perhaps in their next life, they'll stand hand in hand again.
