Chapter Two: Rouge Bumps Into Dixon the Ferret

Rouge: [She was running back to her house so she could start decorating Amy's dresss] I have to get started right away. This new design is very ambitious, and I've already written to Amy to let her know she'll have something beyond fabulous to wear to her party. [Rouge bumps into someone. She gets up, only to see that she numped into a dark tannish ferret, making her gasp as she already knew who it was] Dixon the Ferret!

Dixon: [While dusting off his hat before looking away from Rouge] I say, that's one way to make an introduction.

Rouge: Oh, goodness, I am so sorry. I didn't see you there. [She began to pick up her stuff] I've just got so many bags and I was trying to get back to my suite in Silver Valley and–

Dixon: You're staying in Silver Valley?

Rouge: [While still picking up her bags] Well, my friend Kat invited me to stay in one of the suites.

Dixon: [Shocked] You know Kat the Cat? Hmm, a mobian bat with expensive tastes, I see.

Rouge: Oh, it's for an ensemble I'm making for a friend. Her birthday is in a few days. [She helps Shadow off the ground] Again, I am really sorry I bumped into you. [As she was leaving, she was once again stopped by Dixon]

Dixon: I'm not! Heheh, you are obviously somebody worth bumping into! [Rouge smiled, and Shadow just rolled his eyes] Listen, I have a VIP box reserved at derby this afternoon. Would you, would you be so kind as to join me and a few of my companions there? [Shadow and Rouge looked surprised at hearing Dixon say that]

Rouge: [Shocked] Me?

Dixon: But of course, my dear.

Rouge: [Unsure] Well, I'm, uh, ah- no- sure.

Dixon: We'd love to see you there, [Realizes that he didn't even know Rouge's name] uh...?

Rouge: Rouge the Bat.

Dixon: Rouge. [He walks away while Rouge was grinning like an idiot. We then cut to Rouge pacing around her room]

Rouge: Pro: Seeing the Derby from a VIP box is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Con: Going to the Derby cuts into the amount of time I have to finish Amy's outfit. [Looks at the drawing of the design she had for Amy] Pro: Dixon the Ferret is the most important mobian in Mobius. His stamp of approval could mean big things for me here. [Has a vision of herself talking to Dixon] Con: Amy's party might not be as sophisticated as the Derby, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't put all of my energy into creating her birthday ensemble. My Station Square friends will appreciate my hard work more than anyone. I'd hate to let them down. And I won't. [Walks over to a closet] Shadow, [She comes back out wearing a pink hat] I am going to the derby a guest of Dixon!

Shadow: Whatever...  [We then cut to the derby]

Rouge: [While walking up the stairs of the bleachers]  Pardon me. 'Scuse me, 'scuse me! [Jack and Camela were looking at her jealously, Rouge went over to a security guard, who saw Rouge smiling at him. He refused to let her into V.I.P, but then Dixon came at]

Dixon: Rouge the Bat, jolly good to see you! [He opens the ribbon that lets her enter the V.I.P box, and Rouge happily runs in there] So glad you could make it. [Jack and Camela were shocked that Dixon let Rouge into the V.I.P box. Rouge and Dixon were making their way to the seats, and four mobians saw Dixon and went over to talk to them]

Dixon: [Introducing Rouge to everyone] Everyone, this is Rouge the Bat. She's staying in Silver Valley. [The mobians gasps in shock and they quickly turned to Rouge, and they started chattering confused

Announcer: Fillies and gentlecolts, welcome to the Silver Valley Derby! The competitors are taking their places at the starting line, and the race will begin momentarily!

Dixon: I'll be rooting for Rapid the Hawk, of course. He's sure to take home the grand prize. [THe four mobians laughed in agreement

Rouge: I don't think he has a chance against Fleet the Eagle. [Smiles nervously. A fanfare plays, and Dixon, Rouge, and four other mobians started watching the race. All the birds of Silver Valley, but the winner was Fleet]

Announcer: And it's Fleet the Eagle by a beak!

Rouge: [cheers]

Dixon: [Walks over to Rouge while the other four mobians looked shocked] Bravo, Rouge the Bat! I say, how did you know Fleet would be victorious?

Rouge: My friend Knuckles talks about her all the time. He says what Fleet lacks in size, she makes up for in speed.

Frames: And who is this 'Knuckles'?

Rarity: Uh... [Smiles nervously as she saw the other look at her] Why... he's... he's the... the Young Fliers trainer, of course. [Smiles nervously again]

Dixon: Staying in Silver Valley, and she knows the one training the Young Fliers. I told you all this was an important mobian. [Grabs Rouge's hands] Three cheers for Rouge the Bat, my new favorite party guest!

All (Minus Rouge): Hip hip, hooray! Hip hip, hooray! Hip hip, hooray! [Jack and Camela were shocked to see what was going on, but Rouge just winked at them.
