the radio confessions stops one day, but not before taehyun publicly rejects a girl that bravely interrupted his journey to the campus garden.
"do you think i can handle that?" yeonjun asked, almost to himself. "being rejected, i mean."
soobin sits beside him, and fondles with the plot notebook that's been occupying his mind. soobin didn't personally see the whole rejection scenario taking place, but news did spread like wildfire. everybody was talking about it when they were out of each other's class for lunch.
"of course you can handle it... but it doesn't mean you won't cry yourself to sleep for a few nights."
yeonjun takes a pen and a small post-it from his bag, and began scribbling something that soobin can't see. "i think i have an idea."
"hm?"
"i should confess."
that took soobin by surprise. "what is it this time? another announcement in the cafeteria?" it came out as a whisper. soobin was too ashamed for yeonjun's part to think about the pathetic confession made awhile ago that there was no way he's saying that out loud.
"no, dumb soobin. a proper one; minus all the unnecessary things like yelling in the middle of a busy lunch hall."
soobin raised an eyebrow. "define 'proper'."
"staring at him until he marries me," yeonjun nonchalantly said. who's going to tell him that that is just as bad as his first confession?
________________
silly yeonjun walks silently in the hallway after his student council meeting. it's late, the sun was barely there anymore, and the maintenance staff turned the court lights open to brighten up the campus.
it's pretty this way, and tranquil. some places are prettier at night, and his school was in the list.
"hyung?" yeonjun was wandering when someone called for him. him? he can only name a few people who calls him with honorific, and three of them is soobin.
this one, however, was far from soobin. "taehyun? you're still here?"
"we had a game. how about you?"
ah, yeonjun should have known when taehyun obviously just came from the school shower. at least now yeonjun knows that taehyun plays basketball even if it's not a sunday.
"meeting," yeonjun answered shortly with a growing blush. maybe yeonjun's mind isn't at its right state at the moment when he's holding the urge to blurt out his love in the most impulsive way. "are.. are you going home?"
taehyun nods. "on my way to the bus stop."
confess. confess. confess.
"can i walk you there?"
