"Ants"

It was more of a surprised call almost amazed by the discovery that it had been those insects.

But can ants really do something that would lead to the pain the affected mercenaries were apparently experiencing.

Wu Xi wasn't sure, but with being this close to the temple – colappsed or not – they could also easily be some local mutations, living only for the cause of protecting the temple and fending off any intruders.

Wu Xi could feel Zhang moving, even before he could see him moving. The next thing he noticed, was that he was no longer upright standing and leaning on to Zhang. No, suddenly he was sitting on the ground. Zhang kneeling next to him his hand bleeding.

The cut, was nothing that had never happened before. No, it was something that happened so frequently that it was endlessly frustrating

"How, many times do I have to tell you. Don't cut yourself."

Wu Xi cried out, at Zhang who was next to him, now dripping his blood onto his shoes, spreading it slightly before scattering it in the vicinity. Building a protection of small blood splatters around their chosen camp site.

Wu Xi knew he wouldn't stop until he was satisfied with what he did. He noticed that Zhang didn't look at him. He knew fully well that Wu Xi couldn't stand it. And yet he had ignored his will, from the moment he had suddenly picked Wu Xi up – carried him over to the tree and gently sat him down again.

It always experated him how selflessly Zhang would use his blood. How he would cut himself only to heal even the smallest scrapes of others, how he would bleed just to keep them save from some minor threat. How he would repeatedly cut his hand only to draw enough blood, to keep his own wound from healing, long enough so he could help out just a little bit.

Wu Xi couldn't help but getting his eyes teary, just when will he understand, how preacious his blood – how precious he is and that he should never was it.

"Stop"

Wu Xi clinged to his bleeding hand. Holding it tight between his own, not allowing him to pull away.

He didn't care about the blood on his hands, he only wished to make him stop cutting and bleeding.

"It's unnecessary."

Wu Xi scolded. "How many times have I told you not to cut yourself for something like this. Will you ever listen?"

This was the first moment Zhang seized his movement, almost blankly staring at his hand, that was still encased and tightly held in Wu Xi's. It almost looked like he was wondering about something.

It only made Wu Xi feel like hitting him, really hard. Not only once or twice but again and again and again. He never thought he would once feel like those girls that end up drumming on their boyfriends chest almost crying "Idiot – Idiot, Idiot, Idiot" at them.

Would it hurt to look after yourself for once.

He really fealt like screaming this to his face right now.
