Massimo speeds off from the start line as soon as the starting pistol is fired.

I launch back into my seat at the pure speed we're travelling at, watching as Massimo expertly shifts gears and controls the car, drifting past corners and checkpoints.

We both let out yells and 'whoops' of adrenaline as we wiped the floor with the competition, no doubt Massimo was going to win by a mile.

Theo drags along behind Massimo, but never manages to push past us and into 1st place.

The moment we cross the finish line, a large feeling of pride overwhelms me as I look at my big brother, who only gives me a rare grin back.

"Think we showed him who's boss?" He asked smugly, slowing the car down to a stop as the wheels kicked up dust in the arena.

"Fuck yeah we did." I grin back, fist bumping him before getting out of the car with him.

We're both greeted by cheers of the spectators and guests as we lock up the car and make our way over to a secure viewing platform, getting ready to watch the other boys race.

It's customary at races like these to leave your cars on display after racing, that way spectators and guests can admire them properly.

Mass keeps me close the entire way to the viewing area, keeping a firm arm wrapped around my shoulders as we walk.

By the time we get there, Mateo is already winning his race, making both of us cheer loudly for him as he eventually crosses the finishing line in 1st place.

He comes up to join Mass and I and stands on my other side, waiting for the next match to start. I look down at his feet and realise he's wearing the Jordan's I got him.

I look up at him appreciatively to find him already looking down at me, chewing his gum obnoxiously and winking at me before turning back to cheer on the next racers.

Rome is next, who falters slightly on his drifting, but picks himself back up towards the end of the race, ending up 2nd to Gabriel, who unfortunately won but only by a few meters distance.

Gods, he'll be sure to rub that in later.

Trey and Cash both destroy their opponents, lifting Romeo's spirits slightly as he watches beside us and cheers on for his friends.

Once they all finish I make sure to jump onto Romeo's back and attack him in a massive reverse bear hug.

"You know you're a better racer than Gabriel right?" I say in his ear, to which he chuckles cockily.

"Oh, bambina, I know I'm a better racer," he replies arrogantly, making me roll my eyes at him before he turns a little more serious, "I just got a bad feeling today for some reason." He adds on, furrowing his eyebrows in thought before lifting me off his back and moving me to face him, "Just stay close to us and be careful, si?"
