7: Hide and Seek

Miyu answered Hina's e-mail and changed into her clothes. She went swimming earlier and just came out of the shower. All dressed, she knows it's still early. Maybe not all of them are awake. Perfect, I can set this up. In the kitchen, she takes the cooking alarm. Do I even have a hiding place? I think I do. Now, only a few rules. Oh, the first three who find me can bite me. I need some time to get to my hiding place. And if someone finds me, they have to wait since they have an hour to find me. After everything is done, she waits in the living room. 'Can you come to the living room if you're up?' 

'Why here?' Ayato is the first and pins her on the couch. 'Just let me bite you.' 

'She asked all of us to come. Otherwise, she would have called one of us by name.' Reiji is next to arrive. 

The others come in together. 

Miyu gets herself from under Ayato and throws the small alarm at Reiji. 'Let's make it more interesting. Hide and seek, I'll go hide and you have to find me. Small catch, only the first three to find me can bite.' 

Laito gives her his undivided attention. 'Oh, I'm all for it.' 

'Thirty minutes, and I'll reach my first hiding place. The moment you can start looking for me, you have an hour to find me. If I manage to stay hidden for an hour, no one can bite.' Miyu looks around and notices all their eyes glowing up. 

'Aren't you bold.' Subaru does like it that it gets more challenging. 

'Are you kidding me? I'm the only one who hasn't bitten you yet.' Ayato complains. 'It's fair to let me drink from you first.' 

Miyu shakes her head. 'No, otherwise I won't be able to handle three of you.' 

Reiji looks at the small alarm. Sounds challenging. I guess it won't be boring with her after all. Of course, she wanted to get to know us and the mansion first. 'I can agree to those few rules.' 

'Me too.' Kanato smiles with Teddy in his arms. 

'Interesting, Little Vixen, I'm in.' Laito thinks of where she could hide. 

Miyu walks up the stairs. 'I do want to finish this game first before anyone bites.' 

'That goes without saying.' Sounds tiring, if I find her so be it. Shu feels eyes on him. 

Wow, she even gets him to participate in the game? Reiji is surprised to hear it. 

'Alright, thirty minutes to hide. After that, the hour to find me. I have the alarm on my phone. Happy hunting.' Miyu runs away.

In her first hiding place, Miyu waits for the time. She left a note for Yui not to mess up the game. Done, now the hour to find me. Good luck guys. She sets the timer on an hour. 

'There isn't a room off-limits. So she could be anywhere.' 

Kanato hears Laito think out loud and disappear. I haven't shown her my dolls. What if she found it by herself? 

One by one, they start looking for Miyu. 

If I can't find her, I'll go for Yui. Ayato tries Miyu's bedroom first. 

I wonder if she would hide in one of our bedrooms. Reiji checks the bedrooms first. 

Yui, who found the note, runs into Ayato. 

'Have you seen Miyu?' Ayato hopes she does. 

'No, and if I do, I have to keep quiet. She anticipated someone could ask me.' Yui shakes no and proceeds to the kitchen. 'Don't cheat, Ayato. It's her game you're playing. Not mine.'
