63: You're Mine

Locating the voice, she gets up and sees someone sitting next to her bed. 'Where am I?' 

'You are in my castle Eden,' answers the man. 

She focuses and sees his long light hair and his eyes are like two pools of honey. Then it strikes her. He looks just like the man from her dream. 'Karl...' 

'It seems my reputation precedes me. I can help you now.' Karl waited for her to be awake and he wrings out a washcloth. 'I think it's because of the shackles that your healing ability works slower. He put a spell on it.' 

She needs a minute to process it and realizes that he's talking about Kino. 'What happened to Kino?' She winced when he cleans a wound on her belly. 

'You really need to be careful.' Karl tends her other wounds. 'I wanted you to be awake to ask you this. Can you take your shirt off? It's in the way.' 

You what? She looks down at her wounds and pulls her shirt up as much as she can. 'I'm not taking it off. However, this should be fine.' She does notice his point because she has another wound on her stomach and closer to her chest. 

'This works as well.' He attends to her other wounds one by one. 

'If you want me to take my clothes off, at least take me out on a date.' Or ten. Although I don't know what it is that you want. If you want me like my cousin, then I decline. She doesn't let her thoughts wander off because of him. She can't be too far away if he might try something with her. 

Soft and smooth skin. Karl feels her skin under his touch while treating her wounds. After cleaning them, he noticed her wounds getting smaller. 'I can see it helps but I would recommend you stay in bed to let them heal completely.' He cleans the last wound. 'And would you let me touch you after dating for a while?' 

'I was trying to break the ice, Karl. This is far from normal to get to know someone. Let alone that you see so much of me.' 

'That was the last wound. They will heal soon.' He gets up with his eyes on her. 'Maybe over time, you let me in your life as you have done with others.' 

Is that a reference to your sons? Why on earth would I date you? Miyu lowers her shirt. 'Although I appreciate the care, why am I here? What do you want with me?' 

'I'll tell you tomorrow. You need to get better first. I'll send someone up later with something to eat.' He cleans everything up and heads to the door. 'There is a time and place for everything. This is not it. Get some rest, Miyu.' He leaves the room. You're mine soon.

'Keep looking, she has to be somewhere.' He looks up. Almost a new moon. That's when our power decrease. I can take Kino unless someone else entered the picture. 'We need to hurry up.' I prefer before it's a new moon. Maybe I can paint by using his blood. His familiars run alongside the wolf. 'Follow the crows.' You're mine, Miyu, and I'm coming for you. 

Keeping his distance, another wolf follows the other one. If those two are looking for her and that brat is too, then where is she? Who took her this time?! Another familiar gets his attention and walks to it quietly where he changes back. 'You're sending me messages here?' He takes the note. I'm not coming home without Miyu! You know this, glasses. He changes back into his wolf form and takes one step until he freezes on the spot. I can't believe you! 

'You're getting impatient.' Pushing his glasses up, he makes his brother change back. 'And mistakes are made when you are impatient. You are no exception. And trust me, I want her back too.' Ever since Miyu left, whether it is by her own accord or not, the atmosphere is moody and everyone is grumpier. Almost down to Subaru's level but without the violence. 

'I'm on a lead by keeping an eye on those idiots. The only one stopping me is you.' Shu sends him a death glare.
