Touya looked at me with wide eyes, "You're completely sure of it?" Touya asked.
I nodded, "Rumi had me take 2 tests a few weeks ago, they both came back positive."
"A few weeks ago? Why didn't you tell me sooner Kei?" He had a look of sadness on his face, I felt guilty.
"I-I was scared, I didn't know if you'd want a kid. I mean, we're both still young. I was scared you wouldn't-" I was cut off by Touya pressing his lips into mine.
He broke off and looked at me, smiling. "Keigo, if you want to keep it I'm more than happy to have this kid with you." I smiled before wrapping my arms tightly around him.
"I want to keep it, I really want to have a kid with you Touya." I felt tears roll down my cheeks.
"I'm going to be a dad." Touya said in disbelief, "Hey, if it took you so long to tell me what made you decide on now?"
"Y-Your dad said I looked like I gained weight on patrol today." I replied, placing a hand over my abdomen.
Touya reached down, "C-Can I?" He asked cautiously. I moved my hand and nodded. Touya slowly lifted my shirt, revealing my abdomen. Touya's eyes started to shine as he looked at me. He cupped the small swell with his hand, "Kei-" He said, smiling. Touya leaned down and kissed my abdomen. I felt my mouth start to grow into a smile. I placed my hand on Touya's cheek as he looked up at me. "I love you, so much. I promise I'm going to do my best to help you in anyway I can."
----------------------------------------
The next morning when I woke up Touya was gone. I got up and went into the kitchen, finding him standing at the stove. He looked back and smiled at me, "Good morning. Sit down, breakfast's almost ready." He said. I sat down at the table, watching Touya as he cooked. When it came to cooking Touya and I's skills were obviously on different, I always his cooking skills really impressive.
A few minutes later Touya walked over and sat a plate of eggs in front of me. I thanked him and started eating, turning to see a few members of the league walk into the room. After I finished eating I put my plate in the kitchen sink and went into Touya's room, not wanting to be around anybody. After what Endeavor said yesterday I was starting to feel a little insecure, if he noticed couldn't everybody?
Touya ended up walking into the room not too lomger after I did. He got under the covers and layed down next to me. He placed a hand on my abdomen and looked into my eyes, "You alright?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm just feeling a little insecure. What Endeavor said yesterday really messed with me." I replied, putting my arms around his waist and pulling him closer to me.
Touya put his other hand on my head, messing with my hair. "I know you can't help but feel that way, but there's nothing to be insecure about. You're beautiful. You're growing our child, it's only natural you're going to gain weight. If anybody has a problem with that then they aren't worth your time." Touya said in an attempt to cheer me up. It worked a little but I still can't shake the feeling of insecurity.
Touya was about to say something but there was a knock on the door, Shigaraki walking in seconds later. "Hey Dabi, the doctor just called me. He's sending us on a big mission. Pack a bag, we're going to be gone a while."
"H-How long?" I asked, sitting up.
"I'd say about a month if everything goes well. Sorry for stealing your boyfriend for so long but this is important. Big things can happen for the league if we succeed with this. We leave tomorrow." Shigaraki said before leaving. I felt tears starr to brim my eyes, a month? I was supposed to do this for a month without Touya?
Touya noticed me starting to panic and started rubbing soothing circles on my abdomen. "Kei, I'm sorry. I don't like this any more than you do but please calm down, it isn't good for you to be stressed right now." I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself down. I knew he was right but how am I going to handle this alone for a month without Touya? Even when he didn't know I was pregnant he was there to help me feel better, now he knows and has to leave? I'm scared, I don't want him to leave.
I quickly tried to think of something else to talk about, I'd literally take anything to get my mind off this. "Hey Touya? Have you ever thought about reconnecting with your family?"
I felt him tense, "Kei, I've told you this already, they probably don't even remember me. They're probably better off without me anyway." He replied, a sad look in his eye.
"I'd like them to be a part of the baby's life if they can, I think you should try to reconnect with them. I don't want our child to grow up without any extended family. Sure they'll have the league, but that won't be the same." I said, looking up at him.
He thought for a moment, "I'll think about it." That was the end of the conversation. Touya and I spent the rest of the day lying around, talking about the future's possibilities and what we thought it might be like once the baby's here. We also thought about if we thought it'd be a boy or girl. Touya thought it would be a boy, I thought a girl.
At around 10pm Touya said I should head home, I had work in the morning and he didn't know when they had to leave for the mission. I said my goodbyes to Touya, holding him for as long as I could. As I was heading out I waved to the rest of the league and took off. When I got back to my apartment I threw myself onto my bed and placed a hand on my abdomen, tears filling my eyes. I don't know if I can do this without him for the next month.
