Autumn of 2019 – 3 months into the relationship
Junkyu's POV
Time really passed by so quickly before you even realize it. From counting the days they became a couple, to celebrating their 100 days of being together in a few days, Junkyu felt like they're racing with time. Or at least for him.
Junkyu never imagined that he would tell his story to someone aside from Jihoon. But the load that's been weighing in his chest somehow lightened and having another special someone to share his story with truly made him happy and content. The tragic past he wasn't really proud of telling, however, Haruto had been so accepting and comforting for Junkyu especially after knowing what happened to his family in the past. His boyfriend had been extra caring and sweet to him whenever he could and Junkyu is starting to really fall deeply and too soon as he expected. The idea of him dating someone has always remained a fantasy for him, not even a close reality when he started liking his best friend because he was scared. But it was an easy dream come true with Haruto. Like he said to his boyfriend, he wasn't the hopeless romantic person when it comes to love. He had always been a family person and life took away his chance to experience such infatuations and affections too soon that even in his age, he's still learning the idea and experience of love.
However, Junkyu thought he might've been too unlucky with everything after knowing his test result. When he finally started to get on with life, accepting the lost of his family, living with someone he can consider as his family, and finally learning what love is, the accident in the hospital haunted him.

Junkyu suddenly felt like the surrounding muted after hearing what the doctor said.
"If you continue to have these symptoms, you might really want to consider the surgery. I know it's equally risky, but I think that's the only best option for you before it gets worse." The doctor explained further with a calm and firm voice.
Junkyu blinked his eyes trying to gasp the information in his head. The doctor revealed that he had brain aneurysm caused by the accident he had in the hospital almost a year ago. Junkyu never expected his symptoms to escalate to this one because the first time he was brought in, it was just a mild concussion in his head.
"C-Can you tell me how long I have to decide on what to do?" He mindlessly asked.
"The size of your aneurysm is growing. If we don't do the surgery as soon as possible, it may come to worse. I know you're scared of this, but we will do our best to treat you." The doctor faintly smiled while softly nodding at him, reassuring him of the procedure.
"How much will it cost?" Junkyu shyly inquired.
The doctor supported his weight on the table with his arms and closed his hands before he responded.
"Well, if you have insurance, you can lessen the cost. The surgery might not cost that much, but further expenses will depend on your treatment and recovery."
Junkyu subtly heaved a deep sigh. Insurance. He doesn't have his insurance anymore and he's still paying for his brother's remaining balance in the hospital. He formed a thin line on his lips and exhaled sharply.
"Can you please give me at least an estimate?" Junkyu still wanted to know how much it will cost him if he undergoes the procedure.
"Hmm... The surgery will cost around more or less six million won plus the treatment maybe around 3-4 million won. If you have the insurance, you might cut the cost for about 30-50% of it." The doctor told him.
