TW: death and drowning
It's been 3 weeks since me and byakuya became friends. I could tell that we both enjoyed it. Today was the last day until New Year's Eve so in the classes we didn't do much, it was great.
At lunch me and byakuya were laughing together and Hina looked at us like an adorable couple. It embarrassed me a bit.
We all just hung out for most of the day. Then it was time to go home. As i was about to walk out the door my phone started ringing. "Hello?" What the person on the phone said made me start sobbing. "Your parents have unfortunately died over seas. We don't know their cause of death but the boat they were on sank so they most likely drowned. We are sorry for your loss." The man hung up and I dropped to my knees crying. "Y/n? Are you ok?" I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and it was byakuya. He helped me up and hugged me tight. I caught Hina taking a picture but I just let her. "You can stay with me for tonight." He said. I let go of him and nodded then we walked out.
For the rest of the time at his house we just watched mystery shows. I hadn't realized it but I had fallen asleep and so did he. We woke up cuddled into each other but I was to lazy to get up so I just stayed there. When he woke up I acted like I was asleep just to see what he'd do. When he noticed we were cuddling he cuddled me more. I was blushing so dark my face got warm. Thats when he noticed I woke up. "Sorry." He let go. I was kinda sad because it made me happier in his arms. He let go and I got up. He went upstairs to go change and I sat on the couch. He came back down in his normal outfit and I just kept wearing a hoodie and pants.
We had already planned this but we had byakuyas limo driver drive around town and stop at some places to get stuff. Once we got back to byakuyas house it started to snow. "Byakuya!" I dragged him over to a window and pointed outside. "ITS SNOWING!!" I said. "We have to wait a bit before there's actually a lot of snow." He said. So we waited for a few hours and there was finally a bunch of snow. So me and byakuya went out and started having a snow ball fight. He won but I didn't care.
"Haha I won." He bragged. "Yeah but later You'll get pay back." I said. We both started laughing and went inside.
"Do you want me to make you hot chocolate or anything?" Byakuya asked. "No I'm ok." I said. I wanted some but I didn't wanna make him work. "Good people should be treated like royalty you know." He said snickering. I blushed a bit. "Fine but I'm helping you." I said walking into the kitchen. I helped him make it for both of us then we sat down and watched murder mystery shows and argued about who it was. Byakuya kept checking his phone. Was he planning something? After the shows were over he dragged me outside. He demanded we have another snow ball fight and I was down for it. We even built walls. This was serious. It was dark so it was harder to do the snowball fight but we managed. "HAHA YES! I KNEW I'D BEAT YOU!" I said with joy. He checked his phone one last time and took a deep breath. He walked up to me.
"How many times are you gonna check your phone?" I asked. "I don't know." He responded. "What time is it!" I asked. He showed me that it was 11:59. "ITS ALMOST NEW YEARS!!" I said excitedly. "Hey. High five." He said. I high fived him and he held my hand then kissed me as fire works went of from everyone's houses. Was this a dream? I hope not. He pulled away and smiled at me. "Y/n, I've loved you since we first met. Will you be mine?" He said. I nodded and hugged him.
We went inside and up to his room. "Hey byakuya?" I asked. "Hm?" He responded. "After what happened to my parents, I needed this. Thank you." I kissed him and held his hand. "Your welcome." He smiled then we fell asleep on each other.
He actually liked me back.
