Fallen Angel

And the night dropped darkness to the ground,
Without giving a chance to the light.
I was falling and falling down,
Hopelessly losing track of time.

I was flying past bright stars and alien planets.
I've seen the history of the reign of worthless kings.
And it became clear that everything has no end.
So I beg you, cut off my wings.

I was flying lower and lower,
Falling past mighty gods and blue seas.
And you know, in fact, I'm so sorry, -
They actually see all your sins.

My wings were burning with a bright flame.
But I wasn't feeling any physical torment at all.
My soul was torn apart by spiritual pain.
And that's all I deserve.

And heaven dropped me to the ground,
Without giving a chance to shine.
I let you down, I let them down...
And the remnants of my wings will remind
That I'm not divine.
