The team were beaten and on the ground, defeated by Clayface. As the villain approached the team, Batman smashed through the glass, sending several explosive batarangs into his arm. Batman then used his taser on Clayface which deformed him into a puddle on the ground.

MOUNT JUSTICE
AUGUST 27, 07:56 EDT

The team all walk out of the zeta-tube.

Batman: I need to talk to Aqualad. The rest of you, hit the showers and head home.

Superboy: Head home? I am home.

Robin and Aqualad stop in front of Batman.

Batman: Just Aqualad.

Robin follows the others to the showers.

AUGUST 30, 12:10 EDT

Ryan sat at home alone on his bed reading his braille law textbooks. He then decided to pick up his phone.

Ryan: Call Foggy.

His phone dialled and Fiona picked up almost immediately.

Fiona: Hey, Ryan, please tell me this means what I think it means.

Ryan: Yep. What was that place you were talking about the other day?

Fiona: That was three weeks ago.

Ryan: And?

Fiona: Coffee place on 41st & 10th. Heard good things.

Ryan: Meet you there in ten.

Fiona: See you there.

Ryan got out of his apartment and walked through the streets. After walking for a while, he felt a hand on his shoulder, sensing a familiar person behind him.

Ryan: How've you been, Maya?

Maya: Still the most perspective blind person I know.

Behind him was Maya Cage, another childhood friend of his.

Ryan: So, what can I do for the "Hero of Harlem?"

Maya: Don't call me that.

Ryan: What is it I can do for you though?

Maya: What makes you think I need something to come see you?

Ryan: Maya... it's me.

Maya: I need your help with a thing I'm working on.

Ryan: Okay, I gotta ask, do you need Ryan's help or Devil's help?

Maya: What's the difference?

Ryan: Professionalism.

Maya: Well, best case scenario, Ryan's help.

Ryan: I gotta know if this is urgent or not cause I'm meeting Fiona for coffee and I cannot blow her off again.

Maya: It can wait. What coffee shop?

Ryan: The one on 41st and 10th.
