I knock on Nat's door, standing in the pouring rain. I pull my hood over my head and shove my hands in my pockets.Nat opens the door and stares at me for a while. I stare back.
He's changed a lot since I last saw him. He grew his hair out and lost the piercing in his ear.
"April..." He breathes.
"Hey," I say softly, pushing a stray piece of hair behind my ear.
We stare at each other again.
"You do know what I meant in that note, right?" He asks cautiously.
I nod.
"Are you sure you want to-"
"Yes," I say affirmatively, as I shut the door behind me.
