𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪
By far the toughest year for Min-ah was 2016. After Min-ah's departure from We Got Married, it was almost like everything went downhill for her. After Min-ah's past relationship became public knowledge, it was as if she became public enemy #1. The timing couldn't have been worse for everything to come to a head, as 2016 was proving to already be a big year for BTS as a whole. Min-ah spent majority of the year battling with heavy depression and anxiety. To this day, Min-ah does not like talking about this year.

𝗦𝗧𝗬𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

Min-ah absolutely did not like her style in 2016. She wasn't a fan of her short hair as she felt it brought too much attention to her "round" cheeks, which had always been a big insecurity for her. Min-ah also felt her clothing style was very basic and boring.

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

Because of everything going on with Min-ah during this year, she began to shut down emotionally. Just like during her debut year, she was seen as quiet and emotionless. Min-ah really kept to herself this year.

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

After Min-ah's relationship "scandal", the company put her on a semi-hiatus for 4 months, meaning she didn't attend any group events but she did participate in a few live performances. Min-ah rarely ever felt stage anxiety before the incident, but this year she felt it more so than ever. She suffered from several panic attacks before and sometimes during performances.

𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦 & 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗦

This year was full of rumors and scandals for Min-ah. After the incident of her past relationship being revealed, many people took this as an opportunity to create other baseless rumors around her that people seemed to believe to some extent. Eventually she had a relationship rumor with almost every male idol she had ever come in contact with.
