"No. I will do no such thing." You said as you crossed your arms over your chest.
"Please?" Elizabeth begged.
"No!" You laughed. Elizabeth wanted you to pretend to be a pirate, but you didn't want to make a fool out of yourself in front of Ciel.
"I'm going to go inside, and ask Jack what's for lunch, when I come back this idea better be gone. Besides, Ciel would be a much better pirate." You said as you walked back inside, letting your smile disappear. Since you and Ciel had that little mini talk, you've regretted it because, as you said, he was one more thing you couldn't have... and one more thing Elizabeth could and did have. You let out a huge sigh/growl as you walked into the kitchen.
"Jack, what's for lunch?" You asked as you walked in. You noticed that Sebastian wasn't in the kitchen, only Jack which you were thankful for.
"[favourite food], with Earl Grey Tea." Jack bowed as he paused from cooking. You nodded as you left again, straightening your dress out. You automatically felt self conscious again, your dress was quite short. You didn't expect anyone to be visiting today, and you felt disappointed. Elizabeth would never wear something this short. You cursed at yourself as you walked back outside. You noticed that Elizabeth was almost whispering. She looked a bit sad yet determined. You knew she was talking about trying to make Ciel smile again. She always had that look when she talked about making Ciel happy. You sat back down and Elizabeth smiled at you.
"What's for lunch?" Elizabeth asked excitedly.
"[Favourite food] with Earl Grey Tea, M'lady." Sebastian said as he walked in from the manor. You didn't say anything as you let your mind wander, but what you didn't know was that you were staring at Ciel. Ciel, at some point during Elizabeth's rambling, put his elbows on the table, laced his fingers together and rested his chin on them, looking at you like he was examining you, for the second time since you met him. Once you noticed that you were staring, and that he was staring back, you didn't want to look away. You were lost in that blue eye again. You knew that later on you would regret not looking away, because the more you looked into that eye the more you felt like you were falling. Falling for him. Elizabeth didn't even notice that no one was listening, and you felt horrible for that, but this moment was something she couldn't have. She could have others like this, but she could never have this exact one. You smiled a small smile at him and his eye softened at that gesture. Elizabeth was about to ask Ciel a question when Sebastian and Jack came out, both carrying a tray each. Jack carried the tea and Sebastian carried the [favourite food]. They placed the cups and plates in front of the three of you. Elizabeth gave the butlers a huge smile. You nodded your thanks with a small smile and Ciel just nodded. You couldn't help but stare again, wondering what it would be like if he did smile. You thought how his smile could probably light up your day. You shook your head slightly, getting rid of the thought. Elizabeth's fiance. Something you can't have. You were still looking at Ciel while letting your mind wander again. Ciel noticed that you were having an argument with yourself and it peaked his curiosity. You blinked a few times, smiled, and started eating. Sebastian must have noticed the looks because he was now smirking at you.
"Its delicious." Elizabeth said as she took a bite out of the food. She smiled at Jack and Sebastian again. You and Ciel said nothing as the three of you ate in silence. Jack and Sebastian decided that the silence was agonizing and they both started playing the violin. Elizabeth looked at Ciel, her eyes filled with love... that was until she looked at you. You know she would never say anything mean unless pushed over the edge, but her eyes showed all the emotions. You were ruining the romantic moment and you understood very well. You stood up and bowed, leaving your food barely touched.
"I have some... things to attend to. I apologize. Please enjoy." You smiled your fake smile. Elizabeth seemed happier, and you knew that she knew something. Maybe she finally caught onto the staring, maybe she over heard the conversation, you didn't know and you didn't care. You knew she would do anything to keep Ciel, because as she once told you, in her eyes he's HER Ciel. You motioned for Jack to follow when Elizabeth spoke up.
"Jack, why don't you stay here? It's lovely weather today." Elizabeth said. You looked at Jack, glaring at him.
"I'm sorry Lady Elizabeth, Young Mistress' orders." Jack bowed. Elizabeth looked at you, giving you a small frown.
"Come on Jack, we have things to do." You said as you walked into the manor again. Jack followed without question and the frown on Elizabeth's face didn't leave until she looked at Ciel again.
"Jack, I can trust you can't I?" You asked as you walked up the stairs.
"Of course Young Majesty." Jack said from behind you.
"Then I shall tell you. Sebastian is my father." You said in a monotone voice. Jack's foot steps stopped for a second before they carried on.
"He's only a butler." Jack pointed out. He's much more. He's one hell of a butler. You thought.
"Yes, but my mother was a noble. My father left me to do his job, therefore I was left with my mother. Hence the reason I, too, am a noble." You said as you walked into your mini study. You and Elizabeth both had one. Elizabeth's was full of ball planning and pink and other stuff. Yours was full of plans. Plans that you thought of late at night when you couldn't sleep. Your new plan was to make Sebastian want to be a father again, and you were going to get Jack to help you. If you couldn't make Sebastian want to be a father again the easy way, you'd have to go out of your way to do it the hard way. Jealousy. You sat in the chair and looked at the pieces of paper on the desk.
"Jack. I want Sebastian to actually be useful and realize that he misses his daughter, and for that to work I need to make him jealous. I'm running out of patience and this is the quickest way I can think of on the spot." You said as you started scribbling things down on a piece of plain paper.
"What do you need me for?" Jack asked, smirking. He knew.
"You are going to act like a slight father figure. This will require you to act more like a father and less like a butler, obviously, but it will also require that I act less like an emotionless 'Mistress' and more of a... daughter." You said as you looked over the paper you just wrote on. You crossed something out and carried on writing.
"Will this work Young Mistress?" Jack asked. You stopped writing but didn't look up.
"I hope so. You act as my butler when we are alone. I want everyone in this manor to somewhat mention the change in attitude." You carried on writing. Jack bowed.
"As you wish, Your Majesty." Jack bowed.
"Good. Now bring me some tea and something sweet. We are going to be here for a while." You said as you laced your fingers, resting your elbows on the desk, and tilted your head. It was almost how Ciel does it, except you don't rest your chin on your hands, you just tilt your head. Jack smirked as he bowed and left. You felt like your old self again, making plans. You were going to win, no matter what. After all, children hate to lose.
