"Morning kiddo" my dad says waking me up. "What time is it?" I ask tiredly. "11:46i need to talk to you ok" "alright" I sat up concerned.
"Alexis remember how when we saw basil and Mike" he said referring to their hockey game. "Yes" I said skeptical. "Remember how they said they'd get me a shot in the pros?" He said again. "Yesss" I said a little excited. "They got me one and two days after the hawks game we're going to Michigan, that's where the team I'm playing is we'll be there for the most 2 years" "WHAT" I yelled angry and excited. I hug my dad excited for him. "I'm excited dad, but I live HERE" I said putting emphasis on here. "I'll still have the house and we'll be back, it's just this a once in a lifetime thing and I wanna try it" he said looking at me softly. "Dad I'm all for it but I really don't want to say goodbye to anyone. "We'll keep in touch ok" I nodded I was going to have to say goodbye to the team and to my best friend.
"I'm headed out to meet Connie at the mall" o strapped my blades on and went out of the house I moved as fast as I could to let off steam, sure I was happy for my dad but I was pissed I don't want to leave. He also said I am not supposed to tell anyone and that we're doing it after the hawks game. I sighed as I walked into the mall. I skated through the stores until I found Charlie and Connie in a jewelry store both also wearing blades. "I see you had the same idea" Charlie laughs at my skates. "Yea ok Charlie you're in for fun girls day is always fun" I smile this might be the last one in a while I thought to myself quietly. "Ok so first we're getting nails done then shopping then face masks" Connie said excited "oooo yay so excited" Charlie said in a high pitched voice. Me and Connie laughed and started moving towards the nail salon. "I have registration for three manicures" Connie speaks to the front desk lady. "Oh I'm getting one ok" Charlie said surprised. I laughed pushing him a little. "Ready" Connie tells u so and we walk to the three tables. Charlie sits there giggling because it "tickled" me and Connie just talked the whole time. That took about 45 minutes and then it was shopping time. "Charlie get ready to sit in a chair for at least 20 minutes" Connie laughed I always was bad when it came to deciding. "Why?" Charlie said questionably "I have to try everything on duh" I rolled my eyes and walked into a store called Garage. "This store looks like a strip club" Charlie said looking at all the mannequins wearing anything from lingerie to winter coats. "Eyes on us Charlie" I said running and grabbing a bag and me and Connie ran around grabbing things we liked then it was time to try them on
