At the core of a Lynark's nervous system is the brain stem. An indestructible mass that stores information much like a hard drive.
Lynark have 2600 skeletal muscle nervous systems that receive signals from the brains remotely and cannot be interrupted. A match head sized neural cluster on each muscle is the transmitter and receiver of signals and has as much transmission power as a HAM radio for each muscle.
Each organ in the body also has a similar system except for the industria repono/commutationem (energy storage/exchange) organ which runs the length of the spine and is the only internal organ directly connected to a separate nerve.
The spinal cord of the Lynark is, to their body, as a power substation is to a city. It takes the energy from the organ running the spinal column and distributes it through the body like a Tesla coil.
