CHAPTER THREE: edward
]|I{•------» 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝒷𝑒𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑔𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝓊𝓈 «------•}I|[
NICKLAUS SWAN STOOD BY BELLA, WAITING FOR JASPER AND ALICE. He had a short, small conversation with Bella.
And then he saw the Cullens drive up. "See you around, Bell," Klaus says.
"Yeah, bye," Bella lowly said.
Klaus stopped, turning around. "Are you okay?"
Bella nodded, lifting her book. "It's a good book," she replied.
Alice lifted her arm as Klaus started to approach them. She pulled him closer, smiling up at him.
"Where's Edweirdo?" Klaus asked.
This made the four look back, behind them, and towards Bella. Klaus followed the gaze, turning back to them, a look of confusion overcoming his face. "What did Bella do?"
"Nothing." Alice says. "But, Edward says that her scent...well, it makes him hungry." ]|I{•------» 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝒷𝑒𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑔𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝓊𝓈 «------•}I|[ "Hey, your friends with the Cullen family, right?" Bella asked of her brother.
"Yeah," Klaus replied. "I'm dating Jasper and Alice; I'm friends with the others; why?"
""Oh, uh, I didn't-I didn't know you have a boyfriend, and girlfriend, that's great."
"I thought Jessica the gossip would have told you," Klaus replied.
"Well, yeah, no. I mean, yeah, she told me." Bella stuttered for a second. "I, just- last time we talked, you said you wouldn't ever tell anyone."
They were twelve, and it was one of the only secrets Klaus ever told her. Both because Klaus doesn't keep many secrets and because he and Bella had the bad habit of telling any secret just because of a petty argument. Bella never told anyone, as she had promised that she wouldn't tell anyone. She just never expected Klaus to tell everyone and not tell her. Of course, the two did start to fall apart, and distance from each other.
"We were twelve; I was dramatic." Klaus laughed, shaking his head.
"Was?" Bella teased.
"Oh, would you look at that? She does make jokes."
"Um, yeah, back to my question; why had Edward been gone?"
Shit. "You're friends with Edward?"
"Well, we're lab partners."
Klaus continued to sketch his new drawing, one of Alice and Jasper. "Edward has got some medical issues. His father is a doctor, so he keeps him home a little bit longer to make sure he's okay." and now he had to tell the Cullens that he faked Edward to have medical issues. ]|I{•------» 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝒷𝑒𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑔𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝓊𝓈 «------•}I|[
Jasper had an arm thrown over the back of Klaus's chair, always pulling him closer.
"Oh, by the way, Bella asked about Edward," Klaus announced.
"What?" Rosalie asked, snapping the plastic ware.
"I told her Edward's got medical issues, and Carlisle likes to keep him home after an episode. So, tell Edward to think of a few medical issues he wouldn't care if he was diagnosed with."
"You told her he has medical issues?" Emmett asked, raising an eyebrow at the made-up excuse.
"Because I figured depending which one he says he has, she will believe it more whenever he's not here again," Klaus replied. "Plus, I had been previously watching a medical show."
Emmett laughed at the human, making him get an offended look from the other. Klaus threw his fork at Emmett. "It's not that funny. It's not even funny."
