II Overprotective!Fan x Porcelain!Reader ( No Cracks, No Breaks )

"(Y-Y/n)! You're gonna fall!!"

          The red, paper fan panicked, watching the small, porcelain human balance atop Candle's stacked yoga blocks. They looked like they were having fun.

           "Relax Fan! I'm perfectly safe up here!~ Plus Candle is spotting me to make sure I don't fall!" They giggled, positioning into a pirouette pose. Fan wasn't convinced.

            "You need to get down from there! W-What if you crack?! Or worse! Y-Your leg could break off!!" He panicked, screaming slightly. Some of the other objects nearby agreed.

             Balloon frowned slightly. "I hate to agree, but Fan's right." He said, looking up at (Y/n). "You're not a normal human, and we don't even know if Mephone can recover you!"

               Fan looked at him thankfully. "Exactly! Which is why you should get down!" (Y/n) frowned. "But..." They mumbled, before stumbling slightly.

                This caused Fan to panic more, screaming slightly as he watched them fall off the tower of blocks. It was almost as if time slowed down.

                 (Y/n) didn't seem particularly worried...maybe it was their innocence that blinded them to the danger of the situation they were in. Or maybe it was shock.

             However, they never hit the ground. In fact, they landed on top of someone. This someone was Clover. "Oh hi again, (Y/n)!" She giggled, gently picking the porcelain human up.

              They smiled happily, beaming at Clover. "Hiiiii!!~" They giggled, before being set on the ground. "See Fan? I'm okay!" They chirped, as he rushed over to inspect them.

              "Okay?! Then what's this?!" He said, rubbing his thumb over their cheek. "What's what...?" They curiously questioned. "You've got a crack right here!!!"

                 He picked them up, rushing over to Silver Spoon and snatching his mirror, much to his dismay. "Look!" Fan said, handing (Y/n) the mirror.

There was a crack alright.

About the size of a hairline fracture.

             (Y/n) sighed, giving Fan an unimpressed look. "It's barely even visible! It's not like I'll die!" They told him, a bit annoyed. He still wasn't convinced.

              "You don't understand, this might start out as a small crack, but it could turn into a huge problem later!!" He said, as Silver Spoon snatched his mirror back.

               (Y/n) started to walk away from Fan. He quickly followed, continuing to ramble about safety. Until, (Y/n) snapped. "WOULD YOU GIVE IT A REST ALREADY?!"

            Fan flinched, backing away slightly as he fell silent. (Y/n) took the opportunity to speak, and get everything off their chest. "I can't just live life in bubble wrap!" They started.

             "If I live my life trying to get broken by avoiding every little thing, do you really think that's enjoyable?! I may not have a protective shell to keep me safe..." They turned away.

               "But that doesn't mean I shouldn't have fun. Everything is dangerous if you live in fear. And that's just not a life I wanna live."
(Y/n)'s voice softened.

             "You wanna know what I do when I crack? I get back up again. I fix myself, and I move forward. Do you really think I hadn't cracked my self before showing up here?"

              Fan thought about that for a moment, before he took a deep breath. "I'm...I'm sorry." He mumbled. "I just...didn't want to make the same mistake twice..."

              That caught their attention. They weren't sure who he was talking about. After that, (Y/n) approached him, gently taking his hand in theirs.

               "...I know you're worried about me... but...I'll make it through okay...I promise." They said, voice quiet and low. Fan nodded, pulling them close for a hug.
