Jim set up the funeral items in the back yard. He had it ready for sunrise, which was actually perfect. He even prepared things to say. Gigi made a painting of Jasper and it was set on top of the little casket. We all cried together. I missed Jasper so much already.
After the funeral, we walked around the house and talked about our favorite Jasper moments in each room. I realize that you need the sadness to heal. I just wish it didn't last so long.
I decided to check on my group chat to cheer up. Turns out, it was just what I needed.

"Nothing. Just reading stuff." I said.

"I joined a chat group to learn better English," I said, shrugging.

"Right. They are all ARMY though."
