Namjoon and Seokjin walked hand in hand down the dimly lit path towards where Seokjin and his grandfather resided, after the omega had dragged him away from Taehyung's interrogation and lovingly demanded to be walked home. "Were you being serious?" Namjoon suddenly asked, subconsciously running his thumb over the back of Seokjin's hand. "About waiting for me to court you?"
Seokjin nodded without hesitation. "Oh yeah, I've been waiting for it ever since the conversation we had about our parents." Namjoon's eyes widened, but Seokjin didn't notice as he was too busy looking at the tulip in his free hand as he twirled it around. "I mean, technically I've been waiting much longer than that, but it was then that I realized it was you I was waiting for."
Namjoon chuckled a bit in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
Seokjin shrugged slightly, letting the hand with the tulip fall to his side as he looked over at the alpha. "Ever since I presented as an omega and all the alphas started showing interest me, all I've wanted was to find someone who wouldn't treat me as an object, someone who wasn't just using me for my status. Someone who would take the time to actually get to know me and the things I like and understand me." Seokjin paused just long enough to smile up at Namjoon. "That's you. You actually like me."
Namjoon blushed, looking away from the omega. "Trust me, it wasn't that hard. Anyone who doesn't like you must have some kind of issues."
"And that's what I've been telling Jimin and Taehyung all these years!" Seokjin said jokingly as they came to a stop in front of his home. "Well, this is me. I'll see you tomorrow?"
Namjoon couldn't help but smile at the hopeful look in Seokjin's eyes. "Of course! It'll be nice to spend time with you and not get scolded by Jungkook or Yoongi afterwards."
"Oh no, Yoongi still will. Scolding is his favorite pastime." Seokjin kept a mock serious face as he made that statement, but quickly broke into giggles as Namjoon laughed at the jest. "Goodnight~" He whispered, leaning closer to Namjoon expectantly. It took him a second, but Namjoon caught on to what the omega wanted and happily closed the distance between them, pressing his lips to Seokjin's in a soft kiss.

Namjoon entered the cabin, jumping in surprise when Yoongi's voice broke through the silence. "Jimin's coming by tomorrow after his shift with everything you'll need. You gotta start studying and preparing as soon as possible if you're really serious about Seokjin-"
Namjoon blinked through his confusion and interrupted the shorter alpha. "Okay, first of all, I am completely serious about Seokjin, and I'm offended that you would even unintentionally imply that I'm not. Second of all, studying and preparing for what?"
Yoongi stared at Namjoon, his expression showing that he was holding back from smacking some sense into the younger alpha. "Because when you court someone, that means you're intending to mate them in the future." Yoongi started off slowly, as if talking to a pup. "Meaning you're intending to mate Seokjin one day. Only thing is you're not just mating Seokjin, you're mating the heir to the pack. Meaning you're in line to be the next pack alpha."
Namjoon's eyes widened as he finally realized what exactly he was preparing for. "Oh shit, I didn't even think of that."
Yoongi walked over to him and patted him on the shoulder. "This is why you're lucky to have me as your friend."
Sure enough, Jimin dropped off dozens of large, ancient looking books over the course of the next few days and continued to bring more whenever he remembered one that could even be the slightest bit important. These books ranged from the history of their pack to their laws and values.
