Baabe was lying in bed, cuddled beside Asher like every other night. Some time had passed and they began tossing and turning. Their body began heating up and they were sweating. Suddenly, they shot up, sitting up right as they panted heavily.
This caused Asher to wake up due to the sudden shock of movement
"𝚑𝚞𝚑!? 𝚠𝚑𝚊-"
Asher spoke, rubbing his eyes as he saw his mate beside him, looking pale
"𝚠𝚘𝚊𝚑- 𝚑𝚎𝚢, 𝚋𝚊𝚊𝚋𝚎? 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚕𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝?"
He asked, not getting an answer. This caused him to start worrying as he sat up, facing the other. He looked at them and saw the scare on their face with teary eyes. As Asher went to hug them, Baabe moved back flinching slightly.
"I-I'm fine.."
They shakily answered, as they looked away.
"𝚗𝚘..𝚢𝚘𝚞'𝚛𝚎 𝚗𝚘𝚝. 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎..𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞."
Asher stated, slowly aproaching them as he wrapped his arms around them. They slowly began crying again as they held onto him
"𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢. 𝙸'𝚟𝚎 𝚐𝚘𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞..𝙽𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞, 𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚢 𝚊𝚛𝚖𝚜. 𝙸𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚋𝚎𝚝𝚊!"
Asher laughed, trying to cheer his lover up. A small smile hit their lips as they rubbed their eyes, staying silent.
"𝚠𝚎 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚒𝚝, 𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚊..𝚋𝚞𝚝- 𝙸'𝚖 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎, 𝚘𝚔𝚊𝚢? 𝙸𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚗𝚎𝚎𝚍 𝚊𝚗𝚢𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚝𝚘- 𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚘 𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞, 𝙸'𝚖 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚋𝚊𝚊𝚋𝚎"
Baabe leaned closer to him
"C-Can we talk about it..?"
"𝙾𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚝𝚘, 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎. 𝙸'𝚖 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎, 𝙸'𝚕𝚕 𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚗."
They slowly told him everything that had happened in their nigtmare

Asher was shocked by said nightmare, but understood its context.
"𝚘𝚑, 𝚋𝚊𝚊𝚋𝚎..𝚆𝚎'𝚍 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚎 𝚎𝚊𝚌𝚑 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛. 𝙸 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗'𝚝 𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚗. 𝚈𝚘𝚞'𝚛𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚏𝚎 𝚗𝚘𝚠, 𝚘𝚔𝚊𝚢? 𝙸𝚝 𝚒𝚜𝚗'𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕."
Asher told them, hugging them tightly as he kissed their head. He didn't wish to make them more upset with talking about it, but was glad they told him.
"𝙷𝚘𝚠 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚠𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚎 𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 𝚍𝚘𝚠𝚗, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚛𝚢 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚕𝚎𝚎𝚙? 𝙸'𝚕𝚕 𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚘 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚑𝚞𝚛𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞"
He suggested, softly pulling the other to lie down as he hugged them from behind.
Asher spoke lots of sweet compliments and protective things to the other as he lay with them.
"𝙸'𝚖 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚋𝚊𝚊𝚋𝚎, 𝙸 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞."
"..I love you too."
They smiled, snuggling closer to him as they let out a small sigh
"Thank you.."
They whispered to him, kissing his hand softly, Asher hummed as he slowly fell back asleep.
With the others warm embrace, Baabe soon fell asleep too, hoping not to experience that image again.
