and behind every 40 seconds was years
of noise, of fighting, of screaming and crying
for someone to just notice.
every 40 seconds someone new realizes that
today is the day and right now is the time.
sometime it's planned and others it's as easy as
the bottle in the drawer of their nightstand.
the gun in their parents bedroom.
the knife with the black handle in the kitchen.
the old pink fan and a belt in their childhood bedroom.
