Day 16 of December was quite memorable.
It send us shivers down our spine
With the loud ranging sound from the wind
And the strong drop of rains

I could see those trees fell
I could see how the waves range
I could see flying roofs
Rolling vehicles
I did hear their cries
I did hear those people's shouts

It takes 8 hours before it calm
With its icy cold breeze
We walk out of that place
Walk around the messy streets
Walk around with a heavy heart
Trying to find a safe place to stay.

No clothes, limited supplies
We slept with a heavy heart
Trying to forget how that 8 hours work.

The next day, I could see crying people
I could see a lady crying in front of her house
I could see a man collecting woods in front
I could see children running around, seems nothing to worry about
And I see myself, tear down inside

Asking "Is this the place I used to live?"

Odette, destroy houses and infrastructures
It destroy our nature, it destroy our home.

But Odette will never take our being Filipino
The heart full of faith and hope, the heart of a strong raise.

It will surely just passed with a strong heart, I know Dinagatnons will stand again.

Dinagat's beauty will be back again,
In this we hopefully hold,

Barug Dinagat!
