A smile instantly formed on my face as I walked through the headquarters "agent Warren" I smiled at my desk buddy as I walked past him.
We walked straight to the changing rooms where we got into the shower, separate ones of course. I changed into my regular uniform and brushed out my wet hair before making my way outside Fury's office.
I knocked twice before walking in and Steve was already there waiting "let's get right to it the evidence gathered was just enough to put him away for 30 years and I can guarantee whatever else we can gather will extend that sentence" Fury said.
"I believe the mission went well according to captain Rogers, no mishaps" Fury said and I nodded grateful he didn't reveal the reason Harry had looked into us, exposing our true identities.
"Ok great you can leave" Fury said bluntly and I nodded walking out as Steve walked by my side we stopped further down the hall and I faced him.
"It was great working with you" I said as I shook Steve's hand modestly
"likewise agent l/n" he said. I started walking away before he called out my name stopping me.
"I may be going out on a limb here but say I asked you out to dinner" Steve said and I couldn't stop the smile that appeared on my face "a real date one where we don't pretend" he continued holding his breath now waiting for an answer.
"I'd love to" I said as I leaned up kissing him
"a kiss before our first date?" he asked and I laughed
"oh we've done much more than just kiss before our first date" I said and I noticed a slight shade of cherry on Steve's cheek.
"This has to have been my favourite covert mission" I said truthfully
"because I was your partner right" Steve said cheekily as I shook my head smiling.
We walked hand in hand now discussing where we would be having our first official date.
