Think about Kate's puninishment this way...
Technically Brad killed Faith and Seth's dad. Kate was just there to tell Brad when he could kill their Dad.. Kate also doesn't want them in Foster care jumping from home to home and there is a possibility of them getting separated..
Her current punishment:
10 years community service
3 months house arrest
Therapy 3 days a week

Should we do 2 months in jail while Faith and Seth are out of school for summer??
Do that for the next 2-3 years??
During that 2 months they can stay at the house and Officer Taryn checks up on them??
