cherry slammed her phone down and colby jumped. he eyed her as she paced around the backyard. "fuck." she said, her hands drying her wet eyes. she wasn't going to let herself cry over him. she didn't know the whole story but her gut was telling her she didn't need to. he went behind her back regardless.
"what?" colby watched her with careful eyes. he knew her well, "tell me." he said and cherry shook her head. she composed herself before walking inside. she need the air conditioning. "i'm sorry but it's none of your business." she had to remember that her and colby weren't close anymore. they both said their apologies but that didn't mean she would air out her dirty laundry in front of him.
timothée was still special to her, plus she was never one to open up to someone after they had a falling out. it wasn't in her nature and she didn't trust easily.
"i'm so fucking dumb." cherry sat on the brown couch. colby slowly approached, knowing she probably didn't want him near her right now. "i'm in love with him colby, i fucking love him and just my luck, this happens." her head hurt, her hands shaking. she was scared to lose him, she didn't want to but her trust was already slipping away from him.
"tomorrow is gonna suck." she wondered what it would bring, a fight? a break up? she didn't know. colby stayed silent, watching her heartbreak right in front of him and there was nothing he could do about it.

cherry didn't touch her phone the rest of the day. she decided when she woke up that morning that she didn't want to answer it either. the media was blowing up, her friends were concerned and she didn't care. she was only concerned about today and seeing timothée again. she ended up putting her phone on silence, the texts and calls still rolling in as she boarded her flight.
