*The Next Morning*
*In The Cavern*
*Shadow is seen sleeping curled up like a dog*
*Suddenly, a familiar voice is heard in the distance*
Kylie: Shadow!
*Shadow's right ear twitches, and he slowly opens his eyes*
Kylie: Shadow!
Shadow: H-Huh..?
*Shadow looks down at his ungloved hands, and smiles when he sees that he's back in his normal form*
Kylie: Shadow!
*Shadow looks at the entrance of the cavern, to see Kylie Dear walking in, holding two big cups*
Kylie: Hey good morning, I got us breakfast!
*The happy brunette sits down next to her sleepy companion*
Kylie: I couldn't find a restaurant that served scrambled eggs, bacon and toast like we usually have, but thank gosh there was a cereal bar near us.
*Shadow looks at the cup*
Shadow: Hm..
Kylie: Don't worry, I didn't put milk in yours, I know you your cereal dry..
*She hands Shadow one of the cups*
Shadow: Thank you..
Kylie: So.. I guess the mysterious beast case has been solved. *She chuckles nervously*
*Shadow glares at her*
*Kylie's smile fades, and she looks down*
Kylie: Sorry..
Shadow: *sighs* I guess so..
*Kylie turns her attention to Shadow, a look of sympathy appears on her face*
Kylie: Hey..
*She puts her hand on Shadow's shoulder*
*Shadow looks up at her*
Kylie: It's ok, I understand what it's like..
Shadow: You do..?
Kylie: Well...not exactly, I was never a werehog myself, but I saw Sonic go through the same grief when he first became a one.
