Sleepover [Y/N's PERSPECTIVE]

The moonlight touched my skin softly, as I sat on the edge of the mountain. It was beautiful here. I loved to be out in the open, where no one can interrupt my thoughts.

It was lovely.

Suddenly, I hear Camilo's voice. "Y/N, are you out here?"

I sighed with a faint smile as he walked up behind me. "Yes, Camilo."

"I knew you would be up here," Camilo chuckled. He sat next to me as I watched his legs dangle from the edge of the mountain. "I know you too well."

I giggled at his comment. "I suppose you do," I smiled at him. "It's what I love about you."

Camilo looked at me with a curious face but also a faint smile. I looked at him with a grin.

"You love me?" He asked. I tilted my head back a little, gripping onto the back of my neck.

"Of course, Camilo." I stuttered a bit. "You have always been by my side, as well."

He stared at me, as I looked out into the view. I could see his face light up with a grin. I smiled as well.

"Thank you." He replied after a few seconds. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. He stared off into the distance with me.

"You seem tired." He spoke.

"I am." I replied back. I didn't really know what to say.

"You can," He hesitated for a second. "You can rest your head on my shoulder."

I sat there, processing what he said.

I laid my head into his shoulder and closed my eyes. I could hear his heart beating extremely fast. I grinned as he held my hand and leaned his head on mine.

"I love you, Y/N." He said with a flirtatious smile.

I suddenly woke up in my bed, soaked in sweat and breathing fast. I looked around. It was just my room. I had a headache, and I was having chest pain. No fucking way, I thought to myself.

I did not just dream about my best friend and I being together, I cringed at the thought of that. Camilo and me? No way.

I thought twice about it. Well, Camilo is hot and... I slapped myself.

-

It's been two days since I had that dream about Camilo and me. We haven't seen each other since. He tries to talk to me all the time, but I get nervous. My face turns hot, I stutter my words, and I turn dizzy.

I sat at the edge of the mountain, the one in my dream. The clouds moved above me, slowly. I took deep breathes and closed my eyes. My hair flew in the wind, gracefully.

Everything was interrupted by a familiar voice. I heard them walking up the mountain trail. They were calling my name, but they sounded nervous. That's when I noticed who it was.

"Y/N, are you here?" The voiced called out. They were panting a ton. I sighed and panicked a bit. I readjusted my position.

"Y/N!" Camilo shouted happily. I heard him running towards me. I scooted to the side before he could come and hug me.

Camilo trips and starts to fall off the edge. I grab his hand and throw him back onto the mountain.

Camilo got up and sat on his knees. We both watched a piece of the mountain fall. I looked at him as he had the funniest shocked face ever.

"You motherfucker." I said as I put the palm of my hand to my face. "You could have died!"

"Well, you moved." Camilo protested, crossing his arms. He pouted like an eight-year-old. It was funny, but I was still upset. "What's the deal with you?"

"Whatever do you mean?" I teased. He squinted his eyes at me.

"You don't hang out with me anymore," Camilo pouted. He looked at me up and down. "Why?"

"Well," Before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off.

"Are you mad at me?" He frowned. I locked eyes with him. He looked as if he was teasing me, but you could tell he was sad.

"No! Just tired." I responded. He looked at me with a worried look, then a relieved smile. He chuckled a bit.

"Good," he said, sitting next to me. "I thought you were upset with me."

Camilo kept talking, but I wasn't paying attention. I was getting flashbacks from the dream. I was afraid that the dream would come to life.

I didn't hear anything Camilo had been saying, but the one thing that caught my ear.

"You seemed tired." He spoke.

I looked at him and yawned. "Mhm."

I was nervous and I couldn't help but shake a bit. He looked at me with a concerned look. I watched him stand up and reach his hand out for me.

"We should head back," he said. I grabbed his hand, a bit shocked. He pulled me up to stand and we both started to walk back to the town.

As walking back, I notice how tall he was. Taller than me, at least. I walked beside Camilo, kind of snuggling against him. I was cold.

He looked at me occasionally, making sure I was okay. I thought that was sweet of him. We kept walking until we entered the town. I saw La Casa in the distance, and it seemed we were headed there.

I went closer to Camilo before walking into the town. I could smell him, and surprisingly he smelled amazing. I was kind of shocked because it's Camilo. You don't expect much from Camilo when you're his best friend.

I yawned and stretched a bit while walking. Camilo stopped us from walking.

"You, okay?" He asked. He fixed my hair a bit before starting to walk again.

"Yep. Just tired, like I said." I reassured him. He smiled while escorting me to his house.

"Ready for our sleepover, by the way?" He said as we walked down the mountain. I looked up at him.

"Yeah, but I might want to take a nap first." I said, rubbing my eye.

"Of course." He grinned.

-

We finally reached Camilo's house, and I'm immediately greeted by Isabela. I saw her making tons of beautiful crops and plants like cactuses, a hurricane of jacarandas, and so much more. I waved and smiled at her.

I was welcomed in by Pépa as well. I gazed at her and kept walking. We climbed up the stairs and finally reached Camilo's room. Camilo immediately set me down on his bed.

"You're dead for that one," Camilo laughed as he walked over to his window. He closed the window.

"For what?" I questioned. Camilo laughed again as he sat down next to me.

"For not saying hi to Pépa." He spoke. "You just gazed at her. It was hilarious!"

Well shit, I thought to myself. That's one way to present yourself to your future husband's— I mean friend's mother.

"Don't worry though," Camilo started to speak, "I'll just tell her you didn't notice her because of how tired you were."

"Thank you, Camilo." I sighed in relief. "I would've been dead."

"No problem," He smiled. "You should rest.  You seemed tired back there."

I yawned, "I suppose..."

Camilo came over and laid me down. He put a blanket over me and had comfortable pillows under my head. I grinned as I slowly fell asleep. As I was half asleep, I felt Camilo's soft lips touch my forehead. He gave me a goodnight's kiss, then walked over to the other side of his room, reading a book.

I grinned, trying not to freak out.

'Friends,' we say.
