Stanley was very happy. He now had a steady job and had finally saved enough to buy a good computer and afford the monthly payment. "Now," he thought, "let's get started."

In the process of initially booting up his new computer, he selected the internet account he wanted to use. It was going pretty well, even for a computer novice like himself.

"Okay," he thought after finding the account he wanted to choose, "this one will do."

Computer screen: You must choose a unique ID and password for this account.

Input: stanley.

Computer screen: This ID is already in use.

Input: stanleycramer.

Computer screen: This ID is already in use. Choose a unique ID.

"Crap," thought Stanley. Computer input: Stanley Cramer.

Computer screen: This ID is already in use. As instructed choose a unique ID.

Now getting frustrated. Input: bite-me.

Computer screen: This ID is the most chosen. Select a unique ID as previously instructed.

Now really frustrated. Input: StA$nl%ey@@Cra*m#er

Computer screen: ID contained too many symbols. Restrict symbols to only two.

Blood pressure now rising. Input: bu$$tt@wipe.

Computer screen: Already in use. Second most selected ID.

Resisting the urge to pound the keyboard with his shoe. Input: heaven$help@me.

Computer screen: ID already in use. Please choose a unique ID.

Stanley now had his shoe in hand. Only remembering how much his computer cost kept him from smashing it. Input: myid$.

Computer screen: ID accepted. please create a unique password.

Input: dogtrot.

Computer screen: Unique password must contain one capitalized letter, lower case letters, at least one symbol, and at least one number.

Stanley yanked the plug from the wall shutting down his computer. "I've got to have a drink!", he thought, "I have had all the uniqueness I can stand at the moment!"
