Chapter 18: Arrangements

Shimadzu Residence: Kuoh

No POV:

"So you are telling me that you've been hiding from the Holy Church since the day you left?" Y/N asks her sister

"I wouldn't exactly call it hiding, I have a friend who is higher up in the church and they've kept them from sending agents to come after me" Mikata answered

"But with Kokabiel here causing problems for the church they'll most likely send people here?" Y/N asked

"That is true and I have a good feeling that they know I am here" Mikata answered

"Their main goal is Kokabiel but if they have the time they'll come after you next" Y/N said

"I am prepared for whatever the case is, however you are a different story" Mikata told Y/N

"What do you mean sis?" Y/N asked Mikata

"I don't know who the church will send but I have a good feeling they are someone comparable to me, they'll be a challenge to me, I'm worried that you won't be able to handle them if they decide to go after you to get to me" Mikata answered

"You don't have to worry about me sis, I've got Seiryu and I've got Suzaku's blessing, I can also call on her if I need her" Y/N said trying to reassure Mikata

"You and Seiryu are extremely capable and with the power of the Vermilion Bird you are something else, then there's the fact that Byakko has taken an interest in you, I know you can take care of yourself but I am your sister and it is my job to protect you and look after you" Mikata said

Y/N knew Mikata was right, even though Y/N was extremely capable and she could take care of just about any threat that came her way there was always the chance that there would be someone stronger then her. Mikata was her sister and since the day both of their parents died that she had promised Y/N to always be there and look after her. Mikata was going to keep Y/N safe no matter what even if it meant that Mikata would put Y/N's life before her own.

"They'll most likely send more then one so I might have to call an old friend for help, the only thing is he's got his own problems to worry about" Mikata said

"Who are you going to call?" Y/N asked Mikata

"He's a friend from my childhood and someone close to the families" Mikata answered

"If you feel like you need to call him, I'm not going to stop you but know that I can take care of myself, you worry about me all the time and I worry about you" Y/N tells Mikata

"I know you do, we worry about each other but I worry about you more, now get to bed, you've got school tomorrow" Mikata tells Y/N

Flashback Over

Kuoh Academy: Kuoh

No POV:

Y/N was sitting at her desk while her sister was teaching the class, she was thinking about what her sister had told her that night. It was a lot for Y/N to think about, all of this was happening so suddenly, Y/N couldn't probably plan and think things through. There was the thing going on with Mikata and how agents from the Holy Church would try to kill her or hurt Y/N to get to Mikata. Then there was the fact that this rogue fallen angel Kokabiel was around and what he was doing was most likely going to bring agents of the Holy Church to Kuoh. That would then cause a confrontation between Mikata and the church agents which would lead to the first thing happening.

And to top it all of there was the thing with Kiba, Y/N now knew of Kiba's past with him being the only survivor of the Holy Sword Project. He clearly still had some resentments towards Holy Swords and the project itself. Y/N knew for a fact that Kiba was going to end up doing something stupid that could either get him hurt or worse dead. That was something Y/N didn't want to happen but with Kokabiel being here with an Excalibur fragment, Kiba was bound to go after him. Y/N just hoped that Rias would be able to do something so Y/N wouldn't have to step in.
