"I don't want to go in" I mumble

Her grip on my hand tightens.

"You go on stage in 20 minutes... You're gonna have to" She tells me gently

"But.."

"I know" She says

I turn a little and look at her. She's got regret written all over her face.

"I only took this 'job' because I'm a fan. Simon explained the situation. Look, it's totally fucked. I know. I get it. But... you're doing this for Harry, right?"

"Right"

"Then do it" She says

She's right. I have to do this. For Harry.

I have to stay back from him to keep him safe.

"Okay. Okay, he'll understand. It'll hurt... it hurts like hell. But I am doing this for him" I say to myself. "Okay" I repeat.

I turn the doorknob and let us both in. She's let go of my hand, but she's holding my arm. The door shuts behind us and everyone turns to look.

First, I lock eyes with Paul. His eyes flicker between Eleanor and I then drop to his feet. 

I hear a gasp. Niall.

Liam is staring with angry eyes. Not mad at me, just mad.

Zayn looks sorry.

Lou looks shocked.

And... 

I hear a soft sob. I turn slowly and see Harry. He's got one hand over his mouth. He's sitting on the couch. He's crying.

My first instinct is to run to him and apologize 150 times... and I take a step forwards, ready to go right to him... Then I hear, "On in 15! Better be ready"

He steps out of whatever shadow he was hiding in and smiles at me.

"Louis! You're back. Did you introduce everyone to your girlfriend yet?" He says cheerfully

"N-No.." I whisper, almost whimper

"I-... I'm Eleanor" She says, noticing my loss of voice

"Eleanor, this is One Direction. Niall, Liam, Zayn, and of course, Harry Styles." Simon keeps going. He's making this worse on purpose. He's making it hurt.

On stage is worse. Harry doesn't look at me, sing to me, or stand by me. Simon made sure his microphone was on the complete other side of the stage. I stood by myself and danced most of the time throughout the songs. I seen Niall sit by himself so I ran over and joined him during '18'
