"how?" he looked at me in shock

"that's not even the climax of surprises babe" i popped my lips, walking down the stairs in front of him

i turned around, leading him to the table

decorated with his favorite desserts and the breakfast i made earlier

he wrapped his arms around my back, kissing my cheek

"thank you" he whispered, smiling

his dimples making a unforgettable appearance

he walked over to the table, starting his breakfast

with a small smile wiped across his face

i sat beside him, starting mine as well

it was light, because i wasn't feeling to well

but they didn't know that, of course

the rest of my family sat down at the table

grabbing food from plates centered in the middle

i slowly ate my fruit and whipped cream

when a hand caressed my thigh

i looked up at his face, clearing my mouth with water

"you okay?" he whispered, so the others couldn't hear over their conversation

"yea, i'm fine, why?"

"you love pancakes, i thought you'd be the first to grab one." he furrowed his brows

"i had some breakfast already, i just wanted to sit and eat with you again." i lightly smiled

i guess my smiled reassured him, because he continued eating

i mentally exhaled a breath of relief

yes i made it to the bathroom, somehow

guess breakfast didn't slide down well

i silently brushed my teeth, removing the sour taste from my tongue

maybe i should tell him now

i sighed, rinsing out my mouth

i heard music blasting downstairs, and the guys yelling

glad he is having a good birthday

i packed my stuff for tonight and tomorrow

cain and i are staying at a resort for his birthday

i put down my brush, satisfied with my look for the day

"i really need to start dressing up again" i mumbled, putting away my makeup brushes

i leaned on the staircase, looking down at cain rough housing with my brothers

but the music cut off, and then a scream was heard

turning attention towards the source

i played with my fingers awkwardly walking down the stairs

"i believe we have somewhere to go, i held my arm out to cain, who was dressed nicely aswell."

"what's a word stronger than bellissima?" he asked, grabbing my suitcase

causing the room to laugh

well except for nagging nonna

"don't you think it's too cold outside for all that?" my nonna asked, using her hand to emphasize her speech

"hoes don't get cold" i said, looking at my exposed arms and stomach

cain snickered, opening the door for me

then locking it behind us

we've been on the road for 2 hours, almost reaching our destination

it even started to snow

"so, you said you have multiple surprises for me?" he tapped my thigh

"it's coming, very soon" i smiled, pushing back nerves

he opened my car door, offering his hand

"thank you" i replied, putting my hand in his palm

then immediately flinching back

"what?" he looked around, slowly drawing his gun

"cain, i told you not to bring that." i whispered, so the other guests couldn't hear us

"you never know who could show up." he put the gun back in his holster

"why did you flinch?"

"maybe hoes do get cold." i smiled, batting my eyelashes

he sighed, reaching into my bag

helping me put on my white puffer jacket

"thank you" i kissed his cheek, grabbing my luggage and walking inside

"for who?" the front desk manager asked, eyeing us

"Evangiline Moral" i replied, satisfied with my cover name

"top suite, enjoy your stay." he smiled, handing me our room key
