Chapter VII

I really find it amazing how popular you are with a lot of girls. Oh, not just girls but both genders. Sa lahat yata ng year level in every different schools ay hindi pwedeng walang may gusto sa'yo and I'm one of those girls. Is it weird if I say na I considered it a privilege to be able to know you? I mean, not the 'know' na kilala talaga because we don't even talk but the fact that we're school mates is already a big deal for me. And you are my kuya's friend! I hope we get to be friends too.

Do you think it's possible for us to be friends? I hope so.

I was standing awkwardly habang pinapakiramdaman ang paligid. Nakasuot na ko ng high heels pero nanliliit ako ngayon dahil sa mga height nila. They almost have the same height, Carter is just a bit taller than Ace. Teka nga, why am I comparing the two?! I clear my mind and try my hard to act normal. Bakit kaya lagi na lang nagkakataong magkasabay kami sa elevator?

Pangalawang beses na 'to na sinira ni Carter ang moment naming dalawa ng Mr. CPA ko! Hanggang pasimpleng sulyap na naman tuloy ako ngayon. Naobserbahan ko din na they don't talk at all. Ang alam ko ay parehas silang kaibigan ni kuya Oliver. Or maybe different circle of friends kaya hindi sila magkakilala.

Nakasimangot ako habang naghihintay na tumuntong sa ground floor ang elevator. When it did ay inunahan ko pa silang lumabas pero hindi ako dumiretso ng lakad. Binagalan ko ang lakad ko at hinintay kung iaaproach ako ni Ace pero he did not! Instead ay sumakay na siya sa BMW niya na car. I don't know the model of his car, not familiar.

Sayang naman. That was a good chance to strike a conversation with him.

Napatabi ako sa gilid ng makitang humaharurot ang maserati ni Carter palabas ng parking lot. Sobrang bilis ng patakbo niya. Ang yabang naman no'n, akala mo naman talaga eh 'no? I glance at my Mr. CPA's car and waited until it goes off bago ako sumakay sa scooter ko at umalis na din.

When I get home I immediately check Ace's reply after I have freshen up. Napanguso ako to surpass my smile when it's just a simple "Hey" with a smiley emoji attached.

Emoji lang kinilig na ako?! Gosh. May problema na yata ako sa utak. Teka, ano naman kayang irreply ko? Nag-isip pa ako nang mabuti bago magpasiyang mag-reply.

"Nakauwi ka na?"

Pagkasend ko ay sinara ko ang phone ko at nagpagulong-gulong sa kama. Halos malaglag pa ako sa nang biglang tumunog 'yon. That was fast! I opened my phone again to see his reply.

"Kauuwi lang. Ikaw?"

I wait for few seconds before replying, baka sabihin excited ako masiyado eh. Teka, is this the part na kailangan kong pahabain ang conversation namin? I think this is it.

"Yes. I'm at home and cuddling with my cat right now."

Napahinto ako and read my message again. Tama ba 'to? Hala, hindi ko rin sure. I sound like I want to talk to him. Though totoo naman? Pero I don't wanna sound like that. I deleted the message and just type. "Yes."

Siyempre dapat pakipot ako even though hindi na 'yon uso sa panahon ngayon. I close my phone once again and hug my pillow while waiting for it to notify that Mr. CPA replied but moments passed and he did not. I check if he already seen it and he did!

Seen zone ako?! I looked at the message in disbelief. He seen zoned me.  Napakamot ako sa ulo ko. Dapat ba hindi ko na lang dinelete 'yong una kong tinype? Baka isipin niya hindi ako interesado na kausapin siya? Hala, hindi ko naisip 'yon. Kung kasama ko siguro si Ate Linet ay binatukan na ako no'n. I was about to type a message when I saw 'Typing...'

He's replying! Napuno ng excitement ang puso ko nang dahil lang do'n. Parang ngayon na lang ulit ako kinilig nang ganito. I smiled when I saw what he replied. "Good night, Dulce."
