Georgie and Drea connect the jewels... it doesn't work AU version of The End or Just The Beginning
This is pretty sad guys I honestly don't even know why I wrote this tbh but since you wanted to see it.
TW: Major Character death and ptsd
Also I'm debating on doing a AU what if story about what could have happened like this would anyone be interested? Let me know
"Drea help me put them together now!" Georgie says tiredly placing the three stones together as one.
"Nothing happened…" Georgie says in disbelief. That's when the glow knocked them back harshly "forget I said that…" Georgie says painedly before both she and Drea checked their clocks it was nine o one. Were they to late? Georgie got her answer when a calling pulled her in.
……….
She was in Central Park and it was dark. Georgie takes a look around, it was oddly silent and Georgie did not like it one bit she saw a newspaper and carefully grabbed it. Looking at the headline. 828ers dies tragically all over the world. The curse is finally gone. " Georgie sighs looking above her seeing two others standing beside her.
"This can not be happening. Georgie we were too late!" Olive calls out as Georgie just looks at Olive and then to the little girl below her who was hugging onto her leg.
"Aunt Georgie Daddy's not coming home is he?"Georgie
Eden asks quietly as Georgie shook her head feeling like crying the young girl would never know her family in person.
No Eden, no he won't!" Georgie says quietly this time not coming up with anything to make the child look on the bright side. Georgie had failed. She had failed so badly. She had failed Eden and Olive, and all the passengers on that plane. Ben was right; everything she had gotten into never turned out right. She should have just left it be.
…….
Georgie?" Drea says getting increasingly worried as she couldn't tell if this was because of a calling or because she had hit her head. She also had no idea if they had done it or not. She then realizes the far off look in Georgie eyes and sighs in relief at the tell tale sign of a calling. That's when Georgie came out of it.
"It didn't work Drea, I don't know if we got the calling wrong or we just didn't connect them in time, but we didn't make it in time. By the looks of what the paper said they spontaneously combusted" Georgie says quietly as Drea sighs.
"That explains those burn marks on you." Drea says as Georgie just looks at where Drea was looking at. What burn mark. She wasn't actually there, why would she have burn marks.
"What burn…" Georgie started as Drea gently touched Georgie's exposed arm, Georgie flinched back at the searing pain. Great, another injury that would leave a scar "Ow Drea that hurts very badly." Georgie says as Drea quickly withdraws her hand as not to hurt Georgie anymore.
"Come on, let's get home before one of us freezes to death." Drea says as she helps Georgie up both heading out of the cave and ascending the snowy bank having major difficulties as both were sore and hurting.
They eventually made it up the slope as best as they could although both had a struggle it was so cold and the snow kept on keeping them down. We did it without dying or freezing. Let's get home. I have a feeling they need us at home." Drea says growing increasingly worried since Georgie hadn't said anything at all. Since they were in the cave. There was no emotion on her face she just looked so tired and honestly that worried Drea a lot. Georgie was so strong, but had this broken her.
"Hey G it's going to be okay. None of this was your fault you know that right Drea asks gently placing her hand on Georgie's scarred and frostbite one. Trying to offer some comfort and bring her out of her own mind.
Drea understood Georgie was upset they had worked their butts off to save their friends now all that work was for nothing it honestly felt so unreal not to mention Georgie now had all custody of Eden. It was Georgie's worst fears and nightmares coming true, but she knew Eden couldn't see Georgie like this. Eden looked up to Drea, but Georgie was her favorite. And if Georgie was totally hopeless Eden would be too.
Drea wasn't use to being the strong one Georgie had always taken that role and Drea was honestly glad, but now it was her turn to be strong and draw Georgie out from this state before getting home Eden needed the tough Georgie more than ever right now. She needed the one who knew exactly what to do in every situation.
"Georgie it is not your fault we worked as hard as we could and I know it's hard to be strong, they were like family to you. They were to me too, but Eden needs us. Olive needs us. Even though she's nineteen she still needs someone in her life. We are those people Grace wanted if anything happened because you are strong, brave and kind. You have your head firmly placed on your shoulders and she knew you would overcome this." Drea says qui8 as she heard Georgie sighs. Drea knew if she wasn't frozen and dehydrated tears would be falling from her eyes.
"I can't do this Drea, I can't be a parent to this kid. Not when everything we do is wrong. She is so sad and she never got to meet her family except through video chat. This was not how this was supposed to end." Georgie says quietly as Drea nods.
"I know it wasn't. It was our worst nightmare come true, but they need us to be strong. We have custody of Eden now we have to help her get through this." Drea told Georgie who nodded slowly in agreement.
"Us?" Georgie question quietly as Drea nods.
"Of course, we need each other as a team. It's you and me forever sister. No matter how much we dislike it." Drea says a little playfully as Georgie sighs in relief at not being alone during this time.
"Thanks D. I just have no idea how to get through this. I have no money. You lost your job and were raising a five year old. I have no idea how we're going to get through." Georgie says as Drea sighs.
"The way we always do."
