The Doctor has come to Liberty High and he is substituting for Mrs. Bradley. Hannah was shocked to see him again and pretending to be a sub.

What the fuck is he doing here?

Courtney Crimsen: The Doctor?

Zach Dempsey: Doctor Smith? Like the bad guy in Lost In Space?

The Doctor: Just The Doctor.

Clay Jensen: Are you actually a doctor?

The Doctor: If I wasn't a doctor then I wouldn't be called The Doctor. Now, I've been informed that this class is called Communications Class. Is that actually a thing?

He is being serious?

The students just look at him like he doesn't know what's he doing.

The Doctor: I'm very new to America, I'm from the U.K. We don't have this type of class.

Sherri Holland: Actually it is. Communication class teaches students all the different ways a person can translate their thoughts into words and how many ways humans can respond to them.

The Doctor: HA! Like that would work. You don't believe me, just look at your government.

Skye Miller: I like this guy.

Justin Foley: Man's got a point.

Clay Jensen: He's not wrong.

What is going on?

The Doctor: Let's start off with attendance.

The Doctor goes to Mrs. Bradley's desk and picks up a clipboard.

The Doctor: Let's see, I'm just gonna start off in random. First off...

Don't be me! Don't be me! Don't be me!

The Doctor: Clay Jensen?

Clay Jensen: Here.

The Doctor: Ok, he's here. Justin Foley?

Justin Foley: Present.

The Doctor: Good. Zack Dempsey?

Zack Dempsey: Present.

The Doctor: Excellent. Sherri Holland?

Sherri Holland: I'm here.

The Doctor: Sherri, here. Courtney Crimsen?

Courtney Crimsen: Present and accounted for.

The Doctor: Courtney Crimsen, what a pretty name. Hannah Baker?

Crap!

Hannah raises her hand.

The Doctor: Are you Hannah Baker?

You god damn know who the fuck I am!

Hannah Baker: Yes.

The Doctor: Hannah, present.

The Doctor reads off the rest of the students name. After The Doctor finished checking off the student's attendance list, he begins the class.

The Doctor: I would like to begin with... what exactly do you in this class, again?

Clay Jensen: It teaches students all the different ways a person can translate their thoughts into words and how many ways humans can respond to them.

The Doctor: Anyone want to give an example?

Pratters: You're a moron.

The Doctor: Takes one to say one.
