Unexpected friends (Legolas x reader)

Dragon is loose

The next day we are getting in the boats and I look around confused, I start counting out loud "one, two, three..." I get some weird looks from the people surrounding us. "..seven, eight.." "eleven, twelve, thirteen..?" 'Thirteen there are supposed to be fourteen' "where is Bilbo." I ask "I am here" he answers, "we are one short Bofur is not here." He says and I look around. He is right Bofur is not there.

Kili is about to get on the boat but Thorin stops him "not you, we must travel with speed, you will slow us down." He says and Kili looks sad. "What are you talking about? I'm coming with you." He says he gets a short answer "No." Thorin says, Fili turns arround and looks At the two wondering what is happening. Kili speaks again "I'm going to be there when the door is opened, when we first look upon the halls of our fathers, Thorin." He almost whispers his name in disbelief. "Kili, stay here. Rest. Join us when you're healed."

Thorin puts a hand on Kili's shoulder and smiles, but Kili only looks shocked and betrayed. Thorin boards the boat and Kili turns away still in disbelief. Oin gets out of the boat saying "I'll stay with the lad. My duty lies with the wounded." Oin is on the shore looking at Kili's leg but Kili pulls away. Meanwhile Fili speaks to Thorin "uncle, we grew up on tales of the mountain. Tales you told us. You can't take that away from him!" "Fili..." Thorin says trying to reason with him but Fili does not listen "I will carry him if I must." Thorin lays a hand on his shoulder "One day you will be king, and you will understand. I cannot risk the fate of this quest for the sake of one dwarf, not even my own kin." Fili looks at Kili than back to Thorin. Then he steps of the boat "Fili, don't be a fool. You belong with the company." Thorin says trying to stop him. "I belong with my brother." Fili says.

When he said it I get a chill down my spine and fall down hearing the words echo trough my head. The dwarves suround me asking if I am okay. I stand up, I'm fine, Fili just said his words that's all. The look at me "that's what happens when someone says his or her words?" I smile "yeah, I don't always fall down though, it is really annoying."

After that Thorin pulls me aside "Listen Y/N I know you probably want to come with us to the mountain, but I have to ask You to look after Fili and Kili." I smile at him. "That is no problem Thorin. Good luck on your way." He smiles and I stand next to Fili and Kili. While the sail away, we look at them Kili with a disappointed look on his face. "Goodbye." Dori says. I suddenly hear Bofur "ah! So you mist the boat as well?" I want to respond but Kili moans in pain and falls over luckily Fili catches him just in time. "Kili? Kili!" Fili says concerned "Kili are you okay? Kili!" I says and walk over to them.

"We have to got to Bard, maybe he can help." I say, the others have no protest and we head to Bard. We knock on the door and he opens "no. I'm done with dwarves. Go away." He says wants to close the door but Bofur stops him with his foot. "No, no, no! No one will help us, Kili's sick. He's very sick." He says and Bard looks at the sick Kili and hesitates but then he lets us in.

Just before I walk in I see something on the roofs. I stand outside "are ya coming las?" Bofur asks and I turn to them, "take care of Kili i need to look at something." And before they can say anything I jump onto the roof. I look around if I see anything I sometimes see something move fast in the shadow, but that can be anything.

I suddenly see Bofur and I jump i front of him, he falls to the ground cause he did not expect me, I help him up. "Sorry." He stands up "it's fine no worries las." I suddenly realise something "Wait what are you doing here, you are supposed to be with Kili!" I say and he puts his hands up "I am just getting Kingsfoil, it will help him." I frown "if you say so." And I jump onto a roof again.

There is a loud sound and I jump a bit. I look to the mountain. "Oh no, if that dragon is awake..." i stop my thoughts and then look around again. I see nothing.. 'I should go back to the others' when i get to the house I hear screams inside, I run inside and there are orcs. I grab my sword and attack one. I slit its throat and then have a shiver down my spine "Bilbo, his name is Bilbo." Goes trough my head "ugh great timing Balin." I say annoyed. I see Sigrid and Tilda under a table.

All goes fast. I want to go help Kili cause an orc approaches him, but then one of the orcs throws the table the girls are hiding under away. Then an orc that almost stabs Bofur gets an arrow trough its chest and I immediately see who's arrow it is "Tauriel!" I say and then she appears on the balcony. We both fight the orcs and Legolas also appears and we kill all the orcs Tauriel protecting Kili and Legolas and I fighting back to back.

"You killed them all" Bain says fascinated. And Legolas speaks there are others, Tauriel, Y/N come." I look at him and smile. "I will come, I think Tauriel can stay with Kili." Legolas looks at them and grins. "You are right, let's go Melleth Nin." We run out the door.

We find some more orcs and kill them with knifes. We then split up I go one way he goes one way. I kill some more orcs till I can't find any others. I look for Legolas and find him with a bleeding nose. When he see me he runs to me "are you okay? Why is there a cut on your face?" I laugh "I'm fine, maybe the cut is from hmm I don't know.. the orcs we just fought?" I say say sarcastically. We look at Bolg who is riding away on his warg. "I have to go stay safe, I love you." Legolas says. I kiss his cheek "be carful I love you to." He jumps on his horse and rides after Bolg. I go back to Bards house.
