"Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything." — Muhammad Ali.

Wednesday had finally arrived, but Husna still didn't feel prepared. She was a jumble of emotions - shy, nervous, and happy all at once.

The house was bustling with activity, the meal was prepared, and everything is  in order. If someone had told her that this day would come, a day when she'd marry Hameed, she would have thought they are  crazy. But here she is , on the verge of a new chapter in her life.

She  felt grateful to Allah for blessing her with someone like Hameed, who cared for her deeply. He is  always there for her, no matter what, and he is  the only person who could tolerate her mood swings.

she anxiously paced around her room, The kayan lefe (betrothal gift) would be delivered by Hameed's family, and she didn't want them to meet her in the house.

Her  phone buzzed, breaking the silence. Her  heart skipped a beat as she pulled out her phone from the pocket of her atamfa gown. She wasn't sure who is  calling or what to expect.

Could it be Hameed? She has been trying to reach him all morning, but his phone was unreachable. He had told her he would be coming down  to Nigeria that morning, despite the wedding being next week.

Her  mind is  racing with questions. Could his flight have been changed? Was he asked to stay longer? She didn't want anything to go wrong with her wedding, not after what she has  experienced in the past.Ya Allah, please let everything go smoothly, she prayed silently.

Thankfully, it was only a text message from Faiza. "Are they back already?" she asked.

"No, not really."Husna responded

She is  waiting for Khadija and Hafsat, They have gone to the market with Fati, so she  texted fauziya  to meet her at Cold Stone instead. She is  planning to meet up with Faiza.

She  picked up her red veil and wrapped it around her head. She slid her phone into her back pocket and called Khalifa to pick her up.

Despite the traditional beautician being present, all the way from Maiduguri, and the treatments already underway, she  decided to sneak out. Her skin is  already starting to change, glowing with a fresh and smooth complexion.

Khalifa arrived, Khadija and Hafsat returned from the market. They quickly changed their clothes and walk toward the car.

"Amarya!" Khalifa exclaimed as Husna entered the car.

She smiled, greeting him, while Khadija and Hafsat teased her throughout the ride. They finally arrived at their destination, still joking and laughing.

"Oh my holy black pepper! Hussy! Did you just see yourself? I couldn't even recognize you!" Faiza squealed, wrapping Husna in a tight bear hug.

She  laughed, "Please, little scout, you're choking me!"

After exchanging warm greetings with Hafsat and Khadija, they settled down and placed their orders.

Faiza started the conversation, "So, Hussy, about the henna designer?"

"I've already talked to someone," Khadija replied. "She's coming all the way from Adamawa on Wednesday, insha Allah."

Faiza hummed in approval. "And about the photography? Visual Photography will be here. The makeup? I've already spoken to Genova Beauty."
